Most humane way to take down....

Up The Anti: This is just a hypothetical question but one that I always wanted answers to, I'm a guy. Apprently its a huge no no to hit a female. But what if a female tried to seriously do harm to a guy? Hitting them is outta the question for most, but you still need to neutralize her. So would putting her in a sleeperhold be the best option to take if you really need to? Or is it still wrong?
I do not condone unnessacary violence towards anyone.

Up The Anti: Well, I'm not saying that I would hit a female just because. I'm more implying if shes suddenly snapped and was chasing my ass with a knife or a frying pan. Once you pull out the weapons, in my eyes, its fair game, whoever you are.

Hemsford: Though I think this thread is starting to flounder, I'd like to add that it would be a good idea not to bait her. The easiest way to get off the hook would be to skate on out of there, even if she's a shrimp. Fishing around for a way to calm her might just cause you to get whaled on.

kritz0: Deflect and hold her down.... Doesn't involve hitting her back, but requires skill so you aren't hurt in the process..... Assuming of course you have the size/weight/strength advantage of being able to hold her Down... If not....run. LOL.

Sarcastic Dots: Reasonable force is determined by the amount of danger the victim is in. Obviously, if it's some drunkard hysterically flailing their arms, you just block the attack and try and get away. If somebody--woman or man--were putting my life in danger then I would try to knock them down regardless of my views.

Besides, the belief that you shouldn't hit women is an archaic relic of a chauvinistic society that assumes any man can beat any woman. I'm pretty sure a lot of women could kick my arse, and any man that thinks they are stronger than an entire gender is kidding themselves. Fact is, you really shouldn't hit anyone, and again, the only time it's justifiable is in self defence-- it really doesn't really matter who or what attacked you; if they committed the first offence, you are within your right to respond.

OCD_OCD: I don't promote violence against anyone, but that being said, there is no King's X if a woman is the first one to throw a punch.

Any woman who throws the first punch had better expect to get treated in kind.

Walking away is best for everyone, but I've seen a woman throw the first punch and I pretty much think that she deserved what she got. You can't have it both ways.
