Azathoth: I have...like a "flat iron" cut on a very hot cast iron skillet. It's great stuff. Doesn't even need seasoning other than salt n pepper.

Azathoth: I guess I'm wimpy when it comes to sauces on steaks...other than the grilled method using Worcestershire sauce, melted butter and garlic powder. If I go with the cast iron method, I go with a local marinade called "Dale's" and add a bit of red wine, cracked pepper, olive oil and let the steaks soak that up, at room temperature, for about an hour before broiling. But I'm open to new ways of cooking and new tastes, so I might try your method, NY.

Azathoth
Azathoth: "Dude food" (for Michael). A one dish meal for 3-5 people:

Just get a big bag of Fritos Corn Chips, a couple of big cans of chili, shredded cheddar cheese, an onion, and a tomato.

Diced the onion and tomato and mix, in a bowl, with the chili.

Now, think 'lasagna':

Layer, 1st, the Fritos on the bottom of a Pam-sprayed casserole dish, then some of the chili mixture, then cheese, then Fritos, then chili mixture, then cheese. Just remember to portion ingredients out for those layers.

Bake it about 20 minutes @ 375...just until the cheese melts and the chili is hot.

Optional: you can add bell pepper, black olives, cilantro...all diced...to the chili, onion, tomato mix. You can put a dab of sour cream and/or guacamole on the top of the served portion. And if you're brave...a good Louisianna hot sauce.

Azathoth: I am still really wanting to travel to NYC, man. I think you and I could put together a food masterpiece, and I'd like you to show me around your great city. "Big Apple"? Here I come!

Owen: I dunno. I think Michael would sooner just grab the chips, the cheese and throw it in the microwave for a minute.

Azathoth: Haha yeah, maybe. But I figured (after reading his post earlier) that he'd want to reciprocate the favor Candy did for him in making him quiche. Not all quiches are easy.
