Since can't log into Wireclub to see such updates when Wireclub is down. Geoff: Yeah, you can use the short URL isup.me But - it only tells you if the site is down or not. Perhaps a little official acknowledgement of that fact with an estimated timeframe of when the site will be up again. Geoff: Yes, but once it is down - if a note is put on Twitter or some other website, then people will be aware that Admin is aware of the problem, is dealing with it, and will have a vague idea of when it will be available again. My company has a system status page which is held entirely separate from everything else, on a totally different hosting provider to our websites. If something is wrong with any of our systems, then we put a note on this to inform our customers. We also use it to inform people of planned maintenance.
