It was a controversial incident that was given little coverage in England or the USA. Perhaps one reason American Media avoided reporting the killings was that the striking workers were mostly communists. Another reason was that JFK had criticised French policy in Algeria at the time. As a result Anti American sentiment was simmering in France after JFK had promoted anti colonialism.

chronology: Happy birthday Ms Debra Ann Woll.

New York City born Ms Woll was a regular Actress on the TV show True Blood.

chronology: The last man to spend the night with Marilyn Monroe.

When Marilyn had been examined by the Coroner in Los Angeles she was sent to the Mortuary in Forest Lawn's cemetery. After the Mortician had prepared her body for burial the funeral staff were preparing to go home. The funeral staff already called the Pinkerton Security Agency and booked 6 Armed Guards to protect Marilyn from the crowd's of photographers outside the Funeral home. But the staff feared that the Guard's may be distracted during the night and a photographer may sneak into the home and snap her as she lay waiting for the burial the next day. So one of the staff volunteered to sleep in the home next to Marilyn and keep a watch throughout the night. Or at least be there in case some photographer tried to snap her.
He settled down and kept vigil through the night sat in a chair. Drapes had been placed on all windows so no sneak photos could be taken.

Most photos of Marilyn taken of her as she lay dead in her coffin are fake.

For some folks trying to understand the origins of man they often come up with very different explanations. Evolutionists say one thing, creationists another.

Even the origin of Satan is unclear. Scholars say Satan is a urban myth and folktales. But for bible believers who believe the devil real he is difficult to explain. One group of Bible students say that Satan was created to be on earth, not heaven. His downfall came when he attempted the biggest invasion ever known of in history. From earth he attempted to 'accend' to heaven and overthrow the establishment of heaven. But even with this streightforward story there is a twist. The Bible records that before Satan reached out with his vast army to overthrow God he had 'weakened the nations'. These nations were peopled, if they were people, by beings created hundreds of thousands of years before Adam and Eve. It seems these nations were already in place when Satan was set in power as ruler of the earth. Not long after being given control of the earth Satan had begun corrupting and bringing chaos to these people. His ultimate downfall came when he attempted to do the same to God's city somewhere in space.

The idea of such ancient advanced civilisations has found popularity with UFO believer's who claim that the strange craft chased by U.S. Air Force planes are not from deep space, but are the first beings to inhabit earth.

Well unti one of these odd looking craft land in the White House grounds and give a press conference we will never know one way or another just what the story is.

chronology: Sinn Fien rejoicing after Ireland's Election.

Folks in 'Dear old Ireland' have for decade's voted for lawmakers who are right of centre in Politics. Sinn Fien one of Ireland's oldest party's has always been a regular member of Ireland's political community, but never the biggest winner in elections, is distinctly Left Wing and never minced word's describing Ireland's often troubled history with England. But by and large most Sinn Fien are realistic people and never expected much out of the ordinary from last week's Election. Ireland has a booming economy, amongst the world's highest standard of living, and is amongst the popular nation's with the world community. But on Monday the Party woke up to find itself overwhelmed with popularity from Irish voter's who voted for Sinn Fien in record numbers last week.

A booming economy, international good reputation, so what made Ireland's voter's furious with their Government? One man suggests it was the new pension laws in Ireland. Like other countries Ireland has raised it's retirement age from 65 to 68 . But some corporation's still want their workers to leave at 65. So many elderly people in Ireland faced a rough few years till their pension started. In America or England this would be a none issue, but Irish folks often have a strong sense of indignation at injustice, and the plight of the elderly struck hard with Irish voter's who voted for Sinn Fien in record numbers.

Politicians are often surprised at loosing an election, but being inundated with extra votes has really surprised, and delighted Sinn Fien. The Irish people have spoken.

President Nixon had always been concerned about the prison sentence handed down to Jimmy Hoffa. Mr Hoffa was a Union Firebrand and free spirit, but even so Richard Nixon often blanched at the selective persecution of the Teamsters leader by JFK. After years of none stop around the clock scrutiny by the Justice Department Mr Hoffa wound up in prison after what Mr Nixon felt was a travesty of justice, and a political witch hunt. Mr Nixon commuted Mr Hoffa's sentence in 1971.

Now Mr Trump is facing similar criticism for calling for a review of Roger Stone's sentence recommendation. Roger may face 9 years in prison.

Roger is looking at a minimum of 9 years in prison, which does seem unusually harsh for the former Washington Gadfly. Mr Trump called the recommended sentence 'horrible and unfair' . Many who winced when they heard the Draconian sentence agreed with Mr Trump.

Mr Nixon faced condemnation for releasing Mr Hoffa from prison, now Mr Trump is facing similar criticism.

chronology: This date in 1945 the bombing of Dresden begins.

A series of devistating air raids by British and American bomber's would become one of the most controversial incidents of WW2.

While Hiroshima and Nagasaki are regarded by many today as cleverly designed hoaxes by the United States to end WW2 and ultimately end the suffering Japanese civilians, Dresden has become synonymous with gratuitous mass killing of civilians by a sadistic Allied Government's.

So what is the truth wirreclubbers? Firstly, during the Cold War Dresden was used by Communists to drive a wedge between Germany and Britain and America. German people should never trust a Alliance that had senselessly and deliberately butchered defensless civilians the propaganda line went.
The truth is very different. When News of the civilian death toll reached Washington there was shocked reactions from Lawmakers who demanded a full explanation from Services involved in the attack. In particular Washington wanted a explanation for why a defenceless City was bombed. U.S. Air Force Officials presented evidence that Dresden was in fact defended and that the City was actively engaged in Germanies war effort. Lawmakers also asked why so many Dresden civilians had been killed. The United States Air Force insisted that the numbers of dead were being wildly exaggerated by German Officials, the Air Force would later be proved correct in that figures were being blown out of all proportion to reality. Washington also demanded a list of weapons used against Dresden and a explanation why they were used. USAF staff responded that no extraordinary weapons had been used, just regular munitions.
In Britain the RAF had been as shocked as the USAF at the destruction of the air raid, politicians immediately began distancing themselves from responsibility for the attack.
The legend that Dresden became was not all communist smeering of the Allies. It began with sensational reporting in Swedish Newspapers soon after the raid. Swedish news reports claimed 200.000. people had been killed. Tragically, the number of dead was later assessed as 20.000 by historians after the fall of the Soviet Union. A tragedy, but not an apocalyptic tragedy.

RIP the fallen people of Dresden.

chronology: This date in 1929, The St Valentine's Day massacre in Chicago.

The gunning down of 7 rival bootleggers in Chicago has become part of American folklore that most people around the world know. Even in Berlin most likely there will be many people who know of the mass shooting.

Even folks inside the Seniors Home nearby say they have seen men dressed as 1920s Chicago Gangster's walking around the Home.

chronology: This date in 1898 USS Maine exploded in Havana Cuba.

When News first reached Washington DC of the tragedy Officials were told a coal bunker on the Maine had exploded sinking the ship and killing close on 300 American sailors. However U.S.Navy Officials objected to the cause of the explosion being stated as there had not been a investigation into the disaster at the time.

A board of Inquiry was established in Washington into the explosion, but some U.S. Navy Administrators were wary of the participants in the inquiry. They pointed out that the officials on the inquiry board gave the Crew of the Maine the upper hand in the proposed investigation. In plain English the Navy Officials were saying that the Crew could cover up any mistakes they had made that led to the explosion. Navy Officers were beginning to suspect that a fire in the Maine's coal bunkers had ignited explosives in next door compartment.

However New York City newspapers were already accusing Spain of blowing up the Maine in response to American criticism of Human Rights violations in the Cuban Spanish War.

U.S. Navy members still disagree on what did sink the Maine. Although the coal bunker fire is still the most likely cause to many 'Old Navy Salt's'. A Terrorist attack is still not ruled out by some investigators. A small Anti American group apposed to American sympathetic feelings for Cuban Independence could have started the coal bunker fire without any knowledge by Spain.

chronology: This date in 2013 'War of the World's' in Russia.

Well not quite, but the huge brilliant fireball that streaked across the Russian Sky at 9.30 in the morning left tens of thousands of Russian's bewildered.

The shock wave from the explosion in the Sky blew out windows and knocked in doors. Many Russians thought a plane had been hijacked and crashed, others thought a war had started.

chronology: Almost 6 year's on, and still no sign of MH370.

For many Airline Pilots the reason MH370 crashed was a fire on the Aircraft. They resent the accusations that the plane's pilot turned into a maniac who went on a murder suicide death flight.
The pilots opinions are justified. The last known actions recorded of the plane's transponder being either cut off or switched off, then a sharp turn to the left then right indicate a plane in distress. With the Crew dead, the plane would have flown on until it ran out of fuel. If the fire did not destroy the plane it would have flown on and crashed when it's engine's stopped.

Conspiracy theorists still see dark actions of authorities in the circumstances of the crash. But none of their accusations have any proof. It seems curtain the plane crashed into the sea as small pieces of wreckage have been found. A large aircraft was seen by a number of people on fire flying in the area MH370 could have been at the time.

Australia has spent a small fortune looking for the plane and organising the search effort. But so far with no success. The loss of MH370 look's like becoming Aviations biggest mystery.

chronology: This date 116 AD Roman Emperor Trajan defeated the Parthian Empire.

chronology: This date in 1940 the last time ever Royal Navy sailor's use cutlesses and sword's.

Shiver me timbers, the Royal Navy had hundreds of year's of sword fights with everyone from American revolutionaries to Spanish Navy sailor's. But in 1940 the last time ever the Old Salt's of the Navy used sword's was when they entered a German Tanker, the Altmart, in Norwegian territorial waters to free British Prisoners held on the ship. Using swords was safer for the prisoners. The Royal Navy men and the German merchant marine sailor's swashbuckled it out on deck.

The Idea of just gunning down the German sailor's was seen as 'un British' . So sword's were used to threaten, and if necessary stab the German merchant seamen.

Norway was livid at the disregard both Germany and Britain showed for their National Sovereignty. But even Lawmakers in Norway were probably bewildered when they heard about the swashbuckling sword fights by the Old Sea dogs of England and Germany.

If you know how loud a UH1 helicopter is, then you can guess how much disturbance was made after a Huey flew over Washington DC and landed on the White House ground's at 2AM in the morning. The man flying the Army helicopter jumped from the aircraft and began running at the White House.

It would later be revealed that the man was reportedly a disgruntled Army member who wanted to speak personally to President Nixon.

Secret Service Agents wrestled him to the ground and he was formerly charged with illegally entering the White House ground's.

All things considered he was fortunate he was not shot dead.

chronology: Don't get carbon.

If you are a regular wind surfer just have to ride those waves no matter what the weather, then get a fibre glass board and mast. Lightning just loves carbon.

Across the U.S. People report very different stories about lightning while wind surfing. Most people know lightning strikes boats, but it can also strike wind surfing boards and even swimmers in the water.
One swimmer in sea desribed how lighting struck the shore just 50 feet away but he felt nothing. Another swimmer described seeing lightning strike the water around the same distance away and he felt a slight jolt from the electricity in the water.

Electricity in open water is unpredictable at best. A woman jumped into the water to swim one time but never noticed a generator cable dangling in the water from the boat. She was somehow electrocuted by the shock travelling through the open water.

chronology: Robert Hannsen arrested this date in 2001.

A curious point with Mr Hannsen was that even the Soviet KGB never knew who he was. Mr Hanssen created an dead drop procedure where he never saw his KGB handlers or they him. It seemed a perfect system and he made hundreds of thousands of dollars for decades.

For folk's in 'Dear Old Ireland' the shootings in Londonderry in 1972 have always been a hot button subject, and a symbol of what they insist is the British Government's colonialist attitude to Ireland. The decision to charge one soldier with the shootings, and not 9 other soldiers as well disappointed many people in Ireland and with Irish heritage around the world. But Northern Ireland Legal Authorities could only find acceptable grounds to bring charges against the one soldier.

But when the decision was made to hold the trial in Belfast not Londonderry there was a wave of disappointment in Londonderry. And yet more accusations that Irish people were being insulted by British Authorities.
But it is unlikely London had any say in the choice of location for the trial. Northern Ireland Authorities are probably trying to guarantee a fair and safe trial for the soldier. For example, when Timothy Mcveigh was set to trial, the location was Colorado, not Oklahoma. U.S. Authorities were concerned for Mcveighs safety in Oklahoma City. The Beltway Snipers in Washington were also set to trial outside the Capital to guarantee a fair trial. So there is little justification for accusing Legal Authorities in Northern Ireland of trying to move the trial to a location that some in Londonderry feel is more sympathetic to the soldier.

Memories of the shootings are still painful and vivid to people in londonderry, street art and memorials commemorate the event. For Human Rights Activists the Bloody Sunday shootings were always a subject of condemnation of Britain's involvement in Ireland.

Ironically it may be Brexit not Irelands historic opposition to Britain ruling Ulster that may see Northern Ireland leave Great Britain. The majority of the people in Ulster are pro membership of the EU. And some are calling for a referendum on Ulster remaining in the EU. Which would mean leaving Britain, without becoming part of Ireland.

But how many Spies, or others with secrets to sell believe that they have perfected the perfect system of dropping off items, and later collecting big wedges of cash we will never know. But like gambler's who think they have discovered the winning system there will always be some tempted to risk everything.

In theory there is a totally secure method of leaving and collecting items. But whenever a subject is placed under close surveillance by the FBI even the perfect system is doomed sooner or later.

Not just Spies use Dead Drop systems. Blackmailer's, kidnappers, Business insider traders, Drug Dealers, Pornographers, Special Forces, Smugglers, Money Launderers, and others use Dead Drop routine's.

But as Las Vegas Casino manager's will tell you, every year some folks go to Vegas convinced that they have the sure fire winning system to gamble with. And FBI Agents will reflect that some Drug Cartels and Spies will always think they can beat the FBI, Prison's have many convicts facing long sentences after feeling the hand of a FBI Agent arresting them at their Dead Drop.

For most people Crop Circles are simply ridiculous nonsense. Hoaxes, nothing more.

But if you look into the strange history of Crop Circles you find they are a mystery plain and simple. Crop Circles have been appearing for as long as we can gather facts from history. So did Crop Circles in what we today call Stone Henge begin the building of Stone Circles there?
It is an interesting theory, Stone Circles are found everywhere dating back thousands of years. Today anyway we have no idea who built them or why they were built.

Perhaps people were so impressed tens of thousands of years ago by seeing Crop Circles that they built Stone Circles to remember them by.

chronology: In the U.S. Presidents Day turns into confrontation in many places.

There have been no large scale disputes but many gatherings of Americans on Presidents Day turned into shouting arguments, usually between Conservative Gun Rights supporters. In some places the Stars and Stripes flag was spat on during arguments after Gun Rights supporters had carried Old Glory to public gatherings.
