chronology: Nicola Sturgeon's nightmare.

If the First Minister of Scotland had been in Office in the 1970s Ms Sturgeon may have had fitful times trying to sleep. Perhaps she would have had a dream one night of a assistant telling her a man has left a gift for her in the fridge. Ms Sturgeon walks over to the fridge only to find a human head looking at her when she pulls the door open. With that horror scene she is jolted awake.
The gift in the dream was from Idi Amin, the self made 'Last King of Scotland'.

It is unclear why General Amin was so obsessed with Scotland and Scottish people. His first act as ruler was to dress one of his honour guard Units in Scottish Kilts. He also called himself the Last King of Scotland.

But for Scottish Authorities he was seen as a dangerous and unpredictable dignitary capable of literally flying a helicopter onto Nicola Sturgeon's lawn in the middle of the night had she been first Minister in the 70s.
When told he was banned from attending a Commonwealth Conference in his beloved Scotland he announced he was going anyway. Scottish Officials had to organise a high security watch system in case he attempted to charge into the conference venue. He even threatened to invade Scotland.

As Ms Sturgeon may have quipped back then 'nothing says I love you like an invasion'.

chronology: Still no update on Sheriff's Deputies Ambushed in Los Angeles.

Thoughts and prayers of many around the world are with the families of two Sheriff's Deputies in Los Angeles who were gunned down in a senseless and unprovoked attack as they sat in their car.

A single gunman walked up to the car and fired into the vehicle as the Deputies were observing the District. Los Angeles Police spokesperson described the attack as a disgusting and cowardly act.

The Deputies are in a critical condition in hospital right now.

Some truly sick Demonstrators gathered outside the hospital to chant 'we hope they die'.

Again our thoughts and prayers are with the Deputies right now, and their families.

chronology: Chelsea is still out of jail.

Chelsea Manning is still out of jail it seems after being sent to prison for refusing to testify against Julian Assange. She was also reportedly fined 1000 dollars a day every day she refused to give evidence to the U.S. Court. Reportedly she now has a 240.000. Dollar fine.

Chelsea is said to have returned to New York City. But with Julian Assange facing Trial soon she could still face locking horns again with U.S. Legal Authorities. Hopefully she will not be heading back to Prison. But it looks like her legal problems are anything but over.

chronology: Mayor Sorane calls for calm after police shooting in Lancaster PA.

Lawmakers in Lancaster PA are probably holding their breath at the moment hoping their City will not be swamped with millions of dollars in bills for riot damage.
Public anger in Lancaster swelled after a crazed man with a history of knife crime attacked a Police Officer who was defending a family shot the maniac. The man was running at the Officer with his knife ready to plunge it into the policeman.

A weird twist to this story is that social media has been filled with reports of Amish follower's rioting against Police. Lawmakers in Lancaster say this rumour is nonsense and most Amish do not live in the City.

However across America people are becoming weary of every single Police shooting becoming politicised and followed by protests. 'we are sick of having opinionated politics shoved down our throats' say some Americans now.

chronology: Rats taking over cities during Covid? Not really, like everyone else they are just changing their routine.

During the Covid lockdown people are reporting seeing more rats than normal. This has given some folks the idea that rat number's are increasing and they are taking over cities. In reality the rats are just doing what rats always do, adapting to their environment.

Rats are intelligent brave little animals, and as soon as human behaviour changed so did the rats. With City streets quiet and with less noise, the rats came out more and more to forage for food. This does not meen there is more rats, they are just enjoying the absence of humans and getting out and about more.

chronology: President Joe Biden.

Unless there is some wild event between now and November, Joe Biden is certain to win the next U.S. election. Opinion Polls all have Mr Biden ahead, and most people queried in the Swing State's are planning to vote Dem. Texas is staying with Mr Trump.

However, the fight's not over till it's over, and Dems know Mr Trump is a unpredictable adversary.

Mr Trump has rock solid support still from his core supporters, and many businesses are prepared to spend whatever is needed to help him win. This is probably why gambling businesses around the world are only offering 50 50 on a Biden victory.

chronology: Stars and Stripes for Ever!

Well for the time being anyway. Mr Trump has probably been shaken by the respect shown to the historic American Military Newspaper The Stars and Stripes.

The Newspaper is the in house newspaper of the United States military. It provides news for all Service men and women around the world. When it was announced some weeks back that the fine old established newspaper was being defunded Americans from all walks of life, and people all over the world reacted with indignation, they demanded that the newspaper be continued. A probably very surprised Mr Trump agreed.

For Americans who were shocked to hear the Stars and Stripes was being wound up it was not just about loosing a valued and respected newspaper. They are convinced Mr Trump is gouging the Pentagon's Budget to divert funds to projects like building the Wall.

But for now anyway, the Stars and Stripes is here to stay.

chronology: America's shocking new Boarder 'Wall' aka the Fence.

Rather than building a very long Wall, America is cheaping out and building a fence.

But stop and consider a moment, what is going to happen when you have a very long stretch of metal in the wide open outback of America? Right first time, it will be a regular target for lightning.

Even if lighting strike's a fence a long distance from you when you are near such a fence, it can, and does, kill people and animals.

U.S. and Mexican Boarder Patrols are probably learning how to avoid lightning strike death's along the fence. Farmer's too are likely preparing for loosing livestock to lightning near the fence. One farmer recently lost 20 cows after lightning struck a fence.

U.S.Boarder Agent's will probably have some weird stories to tell about Ball Lighting phenomena near the fence. Ball Lighting seems to behave without any set rules at all. It is likely some Boarder Patrols will see glowing orbs of Ball Lighting drifting across roads, or even passing through cars they are sat in.

But for the most part, repairs to fencing destroyed by lightning is what many Boarder Staff can look forward to.

chronology: Unless there is some wild event between now and November. Democrats will be back in the White House. But for many Democrats in Florida, they still battle hard and try everything they can do to convince Latino Voter's to vote for Joe Biden. It is a tough battle in Florida for Democrats, Cuban American voter's are passionate in their hatred for all things Communist Cuba, and they see Democrats as being less aggressive and belligerent to Havana than the GOP.

Despite many Latino's feeling more disrespected than any other time in modern times, Cuban American voter's in Florida always roll out for the GOP.

But the Democrats in Florida are working flat out to convince Cuban American voter's that Joe Biden will be firm with Havana.

As said, most Latinos are traditional Democrats, and after the last 4 year's will probably make double and triple sure they can vote on election Day.

Russia and Poland still at odds over cause of WW2.

For both Russia and Poland WW2 still holds painful memories. The huge loss of life in Russia and the esteem given to war dead in that conflict means much to Russian's. For Poland the painful memories of invasion, and the mass murder of thousands of the countries elite in Kaitlin Forrest is a traumatic memory. But for many Polish people the fact that Russia is seen as the victim of WW2 is infuriating. They said that Russia was just as much to blame as Germany for WW2 by invading Poland at the same time in a secret agreement with Berlin. They also insist Hitler could never have invaded Poland without Russian supplies of Oil and other materials.

Russia takes a different view of history. They insist Russia only took back land Poland took from Russia after WW1.

In the United States most schools which teach the history of Russian and German history tend to gloss over the fact that before the War, Moscow was beginning some hefty business deals with Berlin. Especially with all important Oil deals, these were vital for Germany which was short of Oil at the time. But in Poland there is no glossing over, Russia was just as culpable as Germany for plunging the world into war they insist.

chronology: This date in 1066, The Battle of Fulford York.

Although the battle between the Norwegian King and the English King was relatively speaking small time in military terms, it would have profound influence on English history for centuries.

The battle was fought just outside the old Roman Town of York in the North of England. The English and Norwegian Armies fought a grizzly battle which saw both sides badly mauled. A truce was struck while both sides negotiated terms of settlement.

The Norwegian Army made its way to Stamford Bridge and waited there for for negotiations. However a English Army marched from London and engaged the Norwegians again, and again with heavy losses of the best men on both sides.

The reason these battles were to influence English history for centuries was that William the Conquer invaded England a few weeks later and by then the English and German mercenaries fighting for England were either dead, badly injured or exhausted. The change in English establishment history was to last for centuries with Williams success.

chronology: Britain sees protests to face masks across the country.

There have been rallies and individual protests across England as thousands of people protested laws enforcing face masks on public transport and in shops.

The protests began in a usual noisey way, but soon turned rough as crowds and individuals refused to wear the masks.

Most of the crowds insist Covid is a 'scam' to control people. On trains and buses people were forced off the transport for refusing to wear masks. And in large rallies loud rough protests soon turned confrontational as people refused to disperse and were wrestled by police into police vehicles. One video showed a transport policeman and a train passenger scuffling and wrestling angrily. 'Get your f*cking hands off me' the passenger shouted at the policeman.

The protests were small, but they were determined and protestors insist there will be more demonstrations to come.

chronology: President Trump fan's in India take their devotion to the next level.

While Mr Trump has devoted American fans and supporter's, no where is he loved like in India. 'He is our God' say worshipper's of the President who bow before his statue and kiss his feet.

Like a Roman Emperor, Mr Trump has become a God to many in India.

chronology: The Church of England did have a extensive missionary program there during the Empire, but it was a really tough job for them due to the cultural nature of India. No disrespect at all to the Great Nation of India. The Cast system, and the other social block's meant it was difficult for the Church of England people to spread the gospel. Not only that. The death rate among English worker's there from illness was very high.
But you have to give the Church credit for trying.

chronology: Stricter lockdown rules in England.

As Americans begin more relaxed Corona Virus rules, England is beginning a new and stricter enforcement of lockdown rules with more people than ever forced to wear facemasks. Prime Minister Boris Johnson says that the Army has been given instructions to join Police in enforcement of the rules.

People disagree on the necessity for the more aggressive rules. One expert says the effect on business will be catastrophic. He says eventually the economy will recover, but individual businesses will be wiped out wholesale by the extension of the lockdown. Government assistance to business with lay off pay will end in a month and economists are predicting millions will loose their jobs permanently. Britain faces a economic disaster they say with record unemployment number's.

Seems like American Lawmakers have the right Idea. But we will just have to wait and see. Economists predict there is nothing to guess about the future in Britain anyway. Thousands of businesses are as good as doomed already.

chronology: Barbados has no bad will against H.M. the Queen.

The move by Barbados to end the position of H.M. Queen Elizabeth as Head of State does not indicate any bad feeling towards the Queen.

The British Foreign Office has been expecting the move for sometime. So why is Barbados becoming a Republic? It is a move that has been considered part of the country's development for years since full independence from Britain in the 70s . While Her Majesty is still popular in the Caribbean Island, a local Head of State is considered more compatible with local regional politics.

Barbados will not leave the commonwealth after becoming a Republic, and Britain's Foreign Office is confident that the excellent relationship between Britain and the Carribbean island will continue in the future.

But there is still a lot of people in both Barbados and the rest of the commonwealth with ruffled feathers because of the decision of Barbados to become a republic. They are traditionalists who believe democracy'has it's limits' . When two wolves and a sheep vote on what is for dinner........ Maybe the future doesn't look rosey for Barbados sheep right now.

chronology: Breonna Taylor shooting 1 Police Officer charged with incident.

At first none of the Detectives in the shooting of Ms Taylor had any idea there would be serious blow back from the shooting. They had used a battering ram to smash down the door of home Ms Taylor was asleep in. A man in the apartment was startled and believed he was a victim of home invasion. He pulled out a gun and began shooting at the Officer's. The Officer's returned fire and Ms Taylor was hit 5 time's and killed.

But as debate over the shooting raged, the Officer's found themselves severely criticised over the killing. One Officer has now been charged with wreckless endangerment for shots he fired into a nearby home.

An Officer involved in the shooting commented. 'people can say what they like, I know I acted properly' .

chronology: Did Marilyn Monroe visit the Inner Earth.

First off, mention of the Hollow Earth usually has 95pc of Americans skipping a story and moving on. But the idea of some kind of vast open underground region is not as crazy as it sounds. It is not like the Flat Earth idea.
But where does much loved Marilyn Monroe fit in to the Hollow Earth legend? Well Marilyn lived on Catalina Island for a few months during WW2. The Island is off the coast from Los Angeles California. According to some conspiracy theorists, Catalina has secret access tunnels to the Hollow Earth. The Hollow Earth, if you believe such a place exists, has two main entrences, one at the South Pole, the other at the North Pole. But there are claimed to be a number of small access tunnels. Among them Catalina Island. There is no reference at all to Marilyn visiting Hollow Earth, but she lived at Avalon on the Island. The skeletons of giant's have been found on Catalina, and there have been Big Foot sightings there.

What do we make of all this wirreclubbers? Well California has only had its present coast line for 12000 years. Before that Catalina was dry land connected to what is now Los Angeles. Who knows where caves and mines on the Island really go to. But if you are ever visiting Catalina and while walking one night think you see Marilyn stood near a cave entrence, then she skoots into the cave and vanishes, that is almost certainly your imagination.

chronology: Elon's tunnel on target. Love him or hate him Elon Musk is definitely hard working and innovative. And his latest project is set to open in January.

It is a tunnel designed for self driving electric car's under Las Vega's Convention center. Travellers will be able to hop into the fleet of purpose programmed electric self driving cars which will then whisk them to the other side of the convention center via a tunnel.

The tunnel will slash time needed to get around the centre. But even so, many folks in Vegas have doubts even an innovator like Elon can kick a dent in the grid lock during conventions in Las Vegas.
Everyone loves Vegas, and during Big conventions people cram every road in sight and crush onto buses to rush from one venue and one fun time after another.

The economics of using tunnels for long distance car travel is still prohibitive. At around a hundred million dollars a mile, that's pricey. If Elon is planning high speed roads for his self driving cars he is going to have to slash cost by a factor of ten.

At the moment Japan leads the world with the most advanced tunnel boring machine. But even Japan's advanced machine can only manage 35 feet a day in tunnel construction. So a world where Americans can skip from City to City in super fast car's in high speed tunnels is a long way off.

chronology: Masks and Social Distancing please at the Mothman Museum.

At Point Pleasant West Virginia the Mothman Museum is soldiering on through the present covid story. The Museum displays items from the hectic times of 1966 when the small West Virginia town became the centre of complete weirdness. But Masks and Social Distancing in the premises is enforced.

'Spies who came in to Point Pleasant' . John Keel is convinced that Point Pleasant was visited often by Agents from some unknown Agency, or something more weird. There are usually two kinds of Spies. There are the Legal employees of Agencies like the CIA, then there are the illegal types who engage in criminal theft of Government or Business secrets. But then there are the even more secretive, and completely unkown people who seem to work for some an uknown Agency .During the Mothman incident, these people were seen often in Point Pleasant. While the world Media may have found the story amusing, some very serious people took the story seriously. John Keel believed Point Pleasants telephone network was tapped wholesale by these people in 1966. To this day, no one has any idea who the strange visitors were, or why they were so interested in Point Pleasant's strange Mothman.

chronology: Mass demonstration against lockdown again in England.

Around 5000 people demonstrated in London against the lockdown policy of the government. There are also crackdown laws against even family gathering in the UK as the government enforces the covid crackdown. But with millions of workers being thrown off welfare during the new lockdown the prospect of 6 months of poverty line living has prompted many to demonstrate against the covid laws. And millions of people are expecting to loose their jobs permanently after covid era laws end.

Around England scuffles broke out between police and people refusing to wear face masks. What seems to really annoy many people is they claim the covid story is a scam designed to rip off taxpayers for billions of dollars, and their jobs and social lives are just seen as unworthy of consideration. Other people in England call the protesters 'tin foil hat nutters'.

chronology: Portland holding its breath today.

A huge gathering of American Right Wing group's such as the Proud Boys and National Alliance are expected soon in the City of Portland in Oregon. Oregon Authorities are unhappy with the massing of Right Wing demonstrators which some claim are more about intimidating legitimate demonstrations than actually stand alone demonstrations. One Portland Lawmaker has vowed that the city will not allow the Right Wing demonstration to intimidate citizens who are lawfully demonstrating. Portlands over stretched Police Department is preparing for potential clashes between rival groups.

The polarised nature of political demonstrations in Portland has alarmed many Americans. Although few can agree who is to blame for the crisis. One suggestion may be for Oregon Authorities to invite former RUC Officers from Northern Ireland to visit the Portland District to offer suggestions on how to defuse the situation. RUC Officers gained years of experience in separating rival and often violent demonstrators in Northern Ireland.

Let's hope this weekend will not see violence in the beautiful State of Oregon.

Proud Boys who have attended insist that they are not the problem, they claim Antifa is intimidating Portland residents and attacking the police.

Portland police department have been carrying out stop and search actions on vehicles entering Portland. So far Officers have confiscated paint ball guns and home made shields and body armour.
