chronology: The eerie world of 'Time slips' . 'Time slips' are not ghost stories, but they are often confused with paranormal incidents. During a Time slip, a person may see and interact with their 'out of time' surroundings, or simply glimpse 'out of time events'. Some examples. Two Hamburg Press men were visiting the U.Boat construction Yards in the Hamburg Docks district, the Press men began to hear explosions and see people running about and were told by an old Dock Watchman to run for their lives. When they returned to their Newspaper Office they told their Editor about the incident. The Editor accused both men of being drunk and pointed out no such thing had happened. Indeed it had not. But years later in America, one of the Press men heard of the devastating British Air Raid on Hamburg and realised he seen the event Roman Soldiers are still seen at times marching through British Towns they were stationed in keeping peace throughout the Empire.
One time a car driver on the Hamburg Berlin Autobarn was astonished to see a long tube like vehicle with round windows pass him on the highway, the vehicle was flying along at the same hight as automobiles and the passengers seemed as surprised to see him as he was to see them. In England, a man left his home and went to a local store to buy some goods. When he walked into the store he did not recognise the girl working there who seemed dressed in old fashioned clothes, the products in the store also looked old fashioned. He left the store, but later found it was back to normal with modern items and familiar staff.

Such experiences, many thousands of them, have convinced many people they have somehow experienced another time period.

chronology: 'First Man from Space Mugged'. April 1961 was an milestone for the Human Race, but for most Americans they were taken completely by surprise at the historic event. The first people in the U.S. to hear the News before it broke over mainstream News Networks were Space Programme Officials in Washington. One Space Programme Manager remembers being woken by a phone call with a man telling him; 'The Russians have done it', 'done what'? he replied sittiing up in bed and slowly waking up, 'they have put a man in Space' was the reply from a Space Programme Official. Within hours the news from Russia was beginning to spread around the world, Yuri Gagarin had become the first human to circle the Earth.

U.S. Military Officials were also as surprised as anyone els, it was the height of the Cold War and they had known nothing of a Ballistic Missile apparently circling the Earth, like everyone els in the U.S. the first they heard of the flight was from Russian News sources.

Even people in Russia were without any knowledge of the momentous historic event, apart from a small group of support staff at the Russian Missile Base. Some villages in a deserted part of Russia had seen a man descending by Parachute from the sky and immediately ran to their homes, they presumed he was an American Pilot like Francis Gary Powers who had been reportedly shot down over Russia two years before. The man had landed and then gone looking for a telephone to report his position to his Unit.

Alas, when Yuri was looking for a telephone, villagers stole his parachute and survival gear including a Rubber Dingy. Yuri had been 'mugged'.

Soviet Army staff later searched the village and asked locals to return the stolen property, the locals gave up the ill gotten goods, one man was sad to loos the Dingy, it would have been useful for fishing.

But who knows Wireclubbers? if the Russian Space Agency experience is anything to go by, maybe some ETs have landed on Earth sometime, only to be mugged and their valuables stolen.

chronology: Even in the ultra modern world of Space and Aviation, women faced discrimination, but this was the late 1950s and early 1960s. A small group of highly qualified and educated American women had been selected to stand up to the mighty Soviet Space machine for America during the icy days of the Cold War. They were tested by Space Officials with gruelling medical exams and proficiency tests, and the Ladies passed all tests with flying colours, often out performing the men. Their Mission was to Pilot a Mercury Space Capsule. But after all their sacrifices and studies, one morning the Ladies were sent a telegramme and told they were no longer needed.

Perhaps it was the response of the women to the cancelling of their Programme that would condemn American women to another 20 years without a American Lady flying through Space. Instead of protesting the obvious bias and sexist attitude of U.S. Officialdom with one voice and coordinating a political pressure group, the ladies broke up into small factions and each faction went about complaining in their own way. So it was with an extra loud cheer that Sally Ride strode to the Space Shuttle, 20 years after her sisters had been passed over in favour of men.

chronology: The year the Pony Express died.

The Pony Express had been a symbol of the Frontier for decades, with Pony Express riders seen as fearless heroes galloping ahead of hostile Native Americans and Bushwackers, if nothing els you needed to have courage in large amounts to be a Pony Express Rider, they were the only method of communication between the new State of California and the rest of the United States. But in October 1861 the Company stopped it's Service across the Frontier. The reason was the completion of the Transcontinental Telegraph Line.

There were existing Telegraph Networks in California and across the Eastern U.S. States, but up until 1861 no link between California and the Eastern State Network. Work crews battled difficult terrain and shortages of material to link up the Eastern and Western Telegraph Networks, to begin Americas era of National Communication. But for Pony Express it was the end of an Era.

chronology: Robert Haslan 'Pony Bob' a Pony Express legend.

'Pony Bob' may have been drawn to the Pony Express by a Job Advertisement the company placed in a Newspaper, it read; 'Wanted, young skinny wiry fellows not over 18 must be expert riders, willing to risk death daily, orphans proferd'.

The advertisement was not wrong about risking death. On one of Pony Bob's rides, he carried President Lincoln's inaugural address, on the ride he was shot in the face with an arrow, and found the Pony Express Station destroyed and it's manager murdered. Despite his injuries, Pony Bob finished his ride and delivered the news of the Presidents address.

Pony Bob was actually an Englishman who had been born in London. He died an old man in extreme poverty in Chicago.

chronology: Did Jules Verne predict the NASA Space Centre when he wrote of a space ship travelling to the Moon from Florida in the 19th century?

First, Verne wrote of a giant 'Space Gun' firing the Astronauts to the Moon, not Rockets, but yes he did place the giant Gun in Florida.

But American Space Teams seem to have chosen Florida for other reasons than Verne writing of the 'Moon Gun' he placed there. First, there was no 'Moon Programme' when American Missiles were tested in Florida, the U.S. Missile Programme was testing Satelite and Atomic weapon delivery systems, Air Force Bases already in Florida met their needs for lot's of open ground and water to test Rockets in. Florida was also sparsely populated at that time, few people realise the thunderous noise of Rocket engines, noise that can shatter automobile and home windows for miles around the take off pad.

chronology: Perhaps because America has a free and open News and Media Service that attracts viewers, is the reason America dominates practically every position in the 'most watched News stories' of all time. The most watched News event in history was The Moon Landing in 1969, second was John Kennedy's tragic death in 1963, The 911 Terror Attacks came third for most viewed. President Nixon's speech of resignation was among the top stories, so was O.J.Simpson's drive around L.A. with a posse of L.A.P.D. Officers following his automobile. Another top viewed story was Al Gore's and George W Bush debate in 2000. Jack Ruby's murder of Lee Oswald also drew huge numbers of viewers.

There are some fun stories. 100.000.000. people around the world watched Paris Hilton being driven to prison live on Global T.V. News. Miss Hilton may disagree that was a 'fun story'.

The rescue of a trapped baby in Texas also had millions of people watching their T.V. Sets.

chronology: Being a Celebrity has it's benefits, but also it's drawbacks. And when some incident occurs in a celebrities life people automatically assume it was the result of his or her reported lifestyle.

And not just modern celebrities, when Edgar Allen Poe was found face down in the gutter and taken to hospital where he died, most folks assumed, and still assume, 'yup, he was on a bender of drugs alcohol and women and it finally caught up with him'.
In reality Poe hardly drank in the last years of his life, he was a heavy drinker when young, but in his last years Poe hardly touched the stuff. he also avoided drugs, there is no proof he used opium a favourite tipple of many Victorian Americans.
So how did Poe die? A Modern Doctor reviewing Poe's last days said he had the classic symptoms of Rabies infection. Poe was not shouting at a ghost when he raved at an invisible person in his hospital room, he was trippy with rabies heat.
But hey Wireclubbers, the thought of Edger going out after a swill of booze, drugs and hookers makes a better story than him being bitten by a rabid animal hur?

chronology: The Shadow of JFK in 2017. Whoever wins the 2016 Election will have a very controvercial decision to make in the next year after his (or her) election. On the Presidents Desk will land a Document Allowing all U.S. Government Papers relating to JFKs death to be made public, and the Order means 'all' U.S. Government Documents, no exceptions. What the President will have to decide is whether to allow dedactions to be made by U.S. Government Departments. Experts on JFKs death are not expecting revelations that would change what we already know about the crime. But some U.S. Government Agencies may still request dedactions to protect the reputation or memory of people effected by Lee Oswalds rampage in Dallas.

Some curious facts do still emerge about JFK. It seemed he originally wanted to go to Mars not the Moon, only settling for a Moonshot when NASA persuaded him Mars was not possible. He even began having second thoughts about the Moon, 'I don't see why we have to spend all this dough just to go to the Moon', he said one time. Ironically the U.S.A. may still have had troops in Vietnam today had JFK not been shot. Some Historians see him as far more cautious than LBJ and advancing a 'Mission Creep' that would have entangled the U.S. in a low profile war for decades.

Given to his son Robert Todd upon Lincoln's death, these everyday items, which through association with tragedy had become like relics, were kept in the Lincoln family for more than seventy years.

chronology: Americans had always had a highly suspicious view of the Vatican, or to be more precise 'Americans of English decent'. Puritan Settlers in America had taken with them the view of the Vatican as 'The Beast' and 'The Scarlet Whore'.

Just like in England, Anti Catholic feelings were never far from a suspicious public. However, when Abraham Lincoln was shot these uneasy feeling turned to 'convictions' as Americans became convinced their President had been shot by a Vatican Conspiracy. The Beast was wrapping it's slimy tentacles around chaste Columbia it seemed.

In reality, there seems no proof of a Vatican Plot, but Americans viewed as 'a very unfriendly act' the assistance given by Catholic church members to some of the conspirators who were Catholic. And America broke Official Relations with the Vatican, which for the most part was a symbolic act of simply no longer paying for a Diplomat in the Holy See. With tidal waves of uneducated catholic Irish and Italian and Spanish immigrants to America in the following decades, it was not long before Lawmakers had to repeal all kinds of Laws, like legalising Pagan Celebrations at Halloween and Christmas, and in 1984, President Ronald Reagan again Officially welcomed the Vatican into American Diplomatic relations. 'The End is Nigh' preached some Ministers.

chronology: 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer'. Sorry Wireclubbers, lovable Rudolph has no origins in any folklore. During a executive meeting of Montgomery Ward Magazine staff in 1939 an idea for a sales promotion motif was discussed. It had to encompass the concept of delivered goods and possibly Christmas, a important sales time. The suggestion was for 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer'. Montgomery Ward had revolutionised shopping in the American Mid West with the introduction of it's magazine and home delivery service giving remote home owners a choice of goods better than most city dwellers.

At first some Montgomery staff were reluctant to have a 'red nosed' Reindeer, people with red noses are usually alcoholic bums, but advertising specialist insisted something out of the ordinary was needed for people to remember the advert.

Soon the Chicago Reindeer Rudolf was part of American Culture with songs about him saving Santa using his bright red nose to find his way to deliver the Christmas presents.

Montgomery Ward ended business but their little Reindeer still skips across American Billboards and on TV and Radio stations around the Holiday period.

chronology: When we think of Greece and Rome, we often recall the outstanding genius of the great people of those Classical Nations, their Philosophers, Artists, Engineers, but there were times when Rome came close to falling as an Empire, usually at the hands of one man, one such man was Caligula.

Roman Historians some times just dismiss Caligula as 'insane' rather than 'evil', if you watched the Movie 'Caligula' you see a toned down version of what Caligula was really like.

Attending a Religious Ceremony one time, Caligula was supposed to strike an Ox with a Club, but Caligula decided on some fun and struck the High Priest with the Mallet.

When food ran out for his lions which he loved, he had five rows of spectators thrown to the Big Cats to be eaten alive.

He bankrupted Rome with wild acts of bravado, he once had thousands of boats constructed with platforms on so he could ride across them as a bridge from one side of a Bay to another. One Roman passing Caligula in the street told the Emperor just what he thought of him, that was a bad idea. Caligula ordered his family executed in front of him. As his young daughter was about to be strangled the man protested she was a virgin and could not be killed. Caligula raped her then had her strangled, then killed the father.

It was the Roman Army who turned on Caligula, he had made them a laughing stock. One day when walking in his grounds an Officer stabbed him to death and his family were slain minutes later.

chronology: You are sat at home and there is a knock on your door. You go open the door and a handsome young woman of 20 is stood there. She asks your name and where you lived as a child. You tell her, then her face fills with joy and she exclaimes 'at last I have found you, I am your Mother', she then throws her arms around you and hugs you.

But you are completely lost, you are 50 years old and your mother died when you were 10 years old. Against your better judgment you let the creepy woman into your home and she gives you her story. She tells you that after dieing she decided to be reincarnated, she had visited a Medium who told her about her past life, the Medium could only give so many details but she managed to trase you anyway.

Believe it or not, this story happens everyday in America as people explore past lives with hypnotic regression and discover they have recently been reincarnated (well so they think).

The reaction of many Americans is to consider a restraining order to keep such creepy people away.

Usually past life explorers 'discover' they were Queens of France or Egypt or maybe a Hollywood Movie star or maybe an ex Presidents wife. But sometimes they have less romantic journeys into oblivion and convince themselves they have a recent local life.

chronology: When the Toba Volcano exploded in Sumatra it almost wiped out the entire world population of Neanderthals alive at that time.

To give an example of how ferocious Toba was, Mount St Helens sent one kubic kilometre of dust into the skies, Toba sent nearly 3000 kubic kilometres of dust into the sky. The result was almost permanent night time around the world for three years. Mass starvation reduced the Neanderthal population to roughly 3000 around the entire world. Small groups of Neanderthals clustered in Africa and Asia, the effect of such a super volcano today would be as bad for modern man. All air transport would be impossible in the U.S.A. and els where due to dust, crops would fail, and drinking water would be contaminated.

If you were lucky enough to have a place in the underground bunker system in the U.S. you would probably survive, but when you came back up after the crisis was over, 99pc of the world population would be dead.

He would be able to 'read' telephone numbers given to his wife who would walk among an crowd as Houdini sat on stage. Bess, his wife, would write down a number given her by a member of the audience then ask Houdini to tell everyone the number, people were taken back in astonishment as Houdini would always give the correct number. Astonishing! well not really, old Harry and Bess were using an old method of secret letter and number code. It went like this. After Bess wrote down the number she would call to Houdini something like 'Pray, mind reader, quickly quickly tell us the number'. The first letter of each word she used represented a number, so her sentence would mean 367887432 to Houdini, who then spoke back the number. No one realised what they were doing, so it seemed like real telepathy.

Google satellite images have also shown occasional oddities like ship wrecks and curious desert drawings. and stone circles that were previously unknown.
