Talking to Myself Because I Can.... Comments Welcome

.
Let it be known, ALL my comments are my likes, dislikes and '''In My Opinion'''

UNBELIEVABLE, but in today's social climate, not really too unbelievable.
I seriously believe 'Big Brother' is trying to scare the general population to the point all they'll be able to do is sit in a dark corner twiddling their thumbs. More and more I see how negative all these social websites can be to our reputations, safety and personal privacy. I've cut down on the time I spend on multiple websites, but it's hard to go cold turkey.

deyb_Deb: Good Morning the giant midget
I got busy with things away from the computer; but never fear, even when I'm away from the computer, I continue to talk aloud to myself.

One thing I've been wondering about is, what's the big issue with those who don't want to vaccinate themselves or their children? As far as I know, they are only a threat to those who choose not to vaccinate. Wouldn't the rest of the population who choose vaccinations be immune to measles etc....?

Angry Beaver: Why immunisation is important

Immunisation is one of our most significant achievements. It saves around 3 million lives world-wide each year and helps to prevent outbreaks and hospitalisations from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Protect your child by ensuring vaccinations are given on time.

Vaccine-preventable diseases are still common in many countries. Increased travel and immigration means the risks are real.

Queenslandโ€™s childhood immunisation rate is currently over 90%, but below the 95% needed for herd immunity. Herd immunity is when immunity of the whole population is at a level to prevent outbreak of disease.

Herd immunity helps protect people who canโ€™t be vaccinated:

because they are too young
for medical reasons
because they are immuno-suppressed
because their immune system doesnโ€™t respond to vaccination.

If your child contracts a vaccine-preventable disease, the consequences could be devastating.

The giant midget: Ok Deb makes a valid point and you Beaver make also a good defensive point

I believe that everyone has the right too choose to be or not to be vaccinated.
Regarding the protection of a infant or a child health and wellbeing it's the responsibility of the parents not the authorities ,however if a child is in a abusive or neglected environment ,that child is to be removed from parents care immediately and the ones responsible incarcerated

As per vaccination of a child,if that child becomes sick due to not obtaining such prevented procedure and it's PROVEN that it was because of not being vaccinated same rules should be applied as abuse or neglect.

I recall a few years back maybe 15 years or so , my youngest daughter in grade school there was a home bake cookie / cupcake day for her class mates ,where anything with peanuts was not allowed ( by the way cookies with peanuts is the number one choice for kids, they will literally commit murder to have them ) because a little Sara or a little Marcus whatever the rug rats name was allergic to peanuts
21 kids didn't get to enjoy their favourite cookies because of one kid
One kids problem became the problem for 21 little ones

Ovary Actor: Today I was driving to work and ended up behind a truck that had a sherriff's officer behind him, and I began to wonder if authority vehicle drivers get annoyed that people do the speed limit and below, obviously they don't want to get pulled over, and thus making the officer have to do the speed limit or below. The back roads we were on had a limit of 30 or 40, but we can easily do 40 and 50 mph safely.

Yes their job is to enforce the law, blah blah blah, but we all know they're human, too, and go above the speed limit so it's something I pondered today.

deyb_Deb: Regarding the po po.... Around the holidays in my area, they host a "Stuff a Cruiser" or something like that. They set up at area grocery stores, which puts people on the spot to donate food and toys as they exit the store; BUT what happens when the deliver all the goods to the agencies for the needy? The average citizens are donating everything, and the get the thanks and glory upon delivery, including their pictures in local newspapers.... just my personal opinion and thoughts as a 'once-in-a-while' female curmudgeon.

deyb_Deb: My Spider Encounter This Morning -- 2019 July 21 -- Sunday

Ewwww, I was sorting through some lists and other miscellaneous papers on my computer desk at 5:00AM, when a dime-sized fast-moving black spider ๐Ÿ•ท with a white dot on its back scurried out of nowhere and dropped to the floor. My first reaction was to let out a scream, which had all the cats running to see what was happening to Mom. While I could still see the spider ๐Ÿ•ท, I was going to squish it with my fingers; BUT thankfully I quickly found a paper napkin within reach, and I OBLITERATED the creature!!!! Everyone knows the only thing worse than encountering a spider ๐Ÿ•ท is the spider ๐Ÿ•ท that gets away.

Over 20 years ago, I unknowingly was bitten by a spider while my legs were under my computer desk. The bite got inflamed, and I needed to see a doctor for it. He prescribed Cephalexin for the bite, which after one dose, my face and eyes swelled; and I broke out in hives on my torso. Needless to say, I will not be lenient toward spiders. It's okay if they stay OUTSIDE, but DO NOT enter my house, or I will be compelled to squish you if at all possible.

deyb_Deb: Most police wear hats with domes of 6 to 8 inches high. This is to give the impression they are taller and more of a force to reckon with. There used to be height requirements for police officers, but that has been dropped because how many women grow to 6 feet tall? It would be more lucrative for tall women to play college and profession women's basketball. So tall hats became necessary for shorter police candidates.
