Natural Selection of Beliefs/Viewpoints El Malvado: Why is it that there's a press to silence what disagrees with personal views (not in violation of rules or laws)? I've noticed this not only on wire but also outside of it. This sheltered stance of needing to wrap oneself up in an echo chamber of "dont confront my views or show me anything that disagrees" Why will anyone who chooses to air their viewpoint not want to see how it stands up under opposing views. If it stands then keep it, if it fails then it'll make sense to refine it or discard it depending on points raised. This is why dialogue, debates, banter even, is important. Everyone doesn't and wouldn't agree with each other's convictions but letting it face open testing is how we refine them and rid ourselves of falsely held ones. El Malvado: I think you missed the point. There are two independent thoughts: 1. Women must be cautious of realistic sexual dangers. 2. Men need to develop self control over behaviour and action that will affect the other individual. The two are not related. Placing a 'but' between them will nullify the other. My position is that teaching self control (in behaviour) as a masculine trait when it comes to attraction/feelings, can be done independently and it seems to still be lacking.
