DubsGirl: How can you tell me that I am "dissatisfied"? I didn't even know I wanted my daughter until I really started thinking about extending my family, so who knows, maybe in 4 or 5 years I will want another one. Maybe my husband and I aren't done.

Just one question for you... are you a parent?

Bumpa: Digital, you seem a little confused. Parents don't love kids more or love them less when they decide to have another baby. You don't divide your love between your kids, you multiply it!

DubsGirl: Nothing wrong with that. My mom had me later in life and everyone thought she was my grandma, that was the only "downfall" so to speak of growing up with an older Mom. Other then that it was great.

chubbychick000: I'm sorry but having a baby at 75 is just wrong. Someone at that age needs someone to nurse them, not the other way around!

Bumpa: Chubby, that is a typically arrogant and incorrect comment from someone who is still young. My 75 year old mate is probably fitter and more active than yourself, also in much better health. He runs 10km every day and does 100 pushups. He also has a huge vege garden in which he grows all his family's fruit and vegetables. His latest project is converting his home to run on solar power instead of the national grid. Does this sound like someone in need of nursing care?

Bumpa: While on this subject, my Dad, at 83 has recently remarried and is working on his PhD, his new wife is 80, and is professor of forensic psychology for the police force. My aunt is 87 I think and volunteers at an old folks home, driving the old people around in her new car. My grandmother , at 101 cooks once a week for Meals on Wheels. Should they all give up because they're too old?

Bumpa: Mimee, you're never too old. And the same goes for love. If you're game after a bad marriage, 43 is still just a kid so try again. I remarried a few months ago at 54 after the marriage from hell and couldn't be happier. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

chubbychick000: Bumpa, i didn't say people that age couldn't be fit and active, i said it was wrong to bring a child at that age, and i'm right. Think of it, how many years will that child be able to enjoy his parent? Wen he's 25 his dad will be 100 or dead. Poor kid, i think it's selfish. And no slanders please, that's my opinion and a lot of people will agree. Why would anyone want to bring babies at such an advanced age anyways? People that age are usually happy their kids all all grown with families of their own, so they can finally have time for themselves and to do all the things they couldn't before.
