should women breast feed in public or go some where private? (Page 24)

That's the go-to mental process for evolutionist supporters when they have no credible evidence---they falsely assume.

hornchurchmale: just read back .well sir loin I dont stare or look of a female is breast feeding a baby anymore than I would look at other human activities that occur in public such as copulation on beach in public! I don't want to. see so I don't look but many missing entire point of civil rules and society it seems and simply being very selfish which is typical of todays people all about me .me and me ! simply put there is nothing wring with feeding a baby the way nature intended as with other bodily functions nature provide sun all with . was a time for example,le pre victorian era when urinating and defecting was normal and nobody batted an eyelid if somebody squatted at side of a road. society has changed . if you want to keep outdated selfish attitudes then so be it. as said before manners cost nothing and we had a friend when bringing her baby up did great feed while we were with them in public but simply draped a large scarf over her shoulder and baby head so unless you stared and worked out it wasn't a baby being cuddled etc you were unaware of things. we didn't stare either! if we anat to see boobs there are beaches all over world where one can see them freely on display and the woman don't give a fig if you ogle. personally I don't but at least I accept society has civil rules and other countries. have different ones which I respect when visiting. subject here seems to be getting a silly side such as talking about evolution? good grief .next will be bringing religion into a debate that is really about some being selfish and insisting they are right and others are wrong. soon be a court case I imagine when a great feeding lady decides its her right to publicly feed her child in some places. eg in aTV studio live .in front of royalty etc again comes back to simple civil rules such as being dressed in public. bodily functions etc. or if we accede to doing so we must by logic agree to others demands. eg being full naked in public .showering in public . defecating etc bit of a pointless debate for some as so set in own mind that they are right! everybody else is wrong.

Nicotina
Nicotina: hornchurch male, please stop equating breastfeeding with copulation, urination, and defecation.
To oppose the prompt nourishment of a helpless baby is one of the most selfish things imaginable.

As to the law, that has already been settled.

In England and Wales, your right to breastfeed in public is covered by The Equality Act 2010 which states, “A business cannot discriminate against mothers who are breastfeeding a child of any age.”

This means:
- it’s unlawful for the owners or staff of a business, such as a café, shop or leisure centre, to ask you (and anyone with you) to leave their premises because you are breastfeeding a child
- it’s unlawful for the owners or staff of a business to refuse to serve you because you are breastfeeding a baby
- you’re quite within your rights to breastfeed in public open spaces, including parks and high-street benches, and on public transport, including buses and trains. You’re also protected in hospitals, theatres, cinemas and petrol stations.

What’s more, businesses in England and Wales must also:
- make sure any woman they’re providing services to – whether that’s a cup of coffee or a cinema screening – is allowed to breastfeed on their premises if she wants to
- make sure that mums are not discriminated against, harassed or victimised because they are breastfeeding a baby
- make sure employees have training, so that they are aware of the protection from discrimination given to breastfeeding mothers under the law.

There are similar laws in other countries.

Sir Loin: Much the same in NZ Nicotina but here a woman can walk down the street topless if she wants, same as a man can.
