LOVE at first sight ?? (Page 4) Nephew of Sam: Love at first sight...when you see that person through a crowded room and your eyes meet. You feel a shiver down your spine as you notice the hint of a smile at the corner of their lips. Your heart feels like it is going to pound out of your chest. You forget that you are in a crowded room and feel as though you are the only two that exist. Yes, I believe in love at first sight. Scopinitout1: I don't believe in it - are you KIDDING me?? "Love at first sight" is nothing more than physical attraction or infatuation. It takes time to develop the kind of love that is based on knowledge of the person, willingness to put that person above all others and above yourself, and willingness to seek the other person's good and well-being no matter what. Would you be willing to do that for someone - ANYone - the first time you meet him or her? Nephew of Sam - what you're describing is certainly NOT love. (Edited by Scopinitout1) Scopinitout1: Well, I've certainly been in love, but I've never experienced what I describe above the very first time I meet someone. I'd love to hear about someone who has. CurvyKooky: Ok who wants to fall madly in love with me as soon as you saw my face... If you do at least hide you seeing eye dog or put your glasses on then have another look... paulduval70: yeap I agree in love at first sight, the day I meet my wife, she blow me away and I knew we would marry and it was love at first sight. we got married with in 3 months and that was 19 years ago. sadly she passed away. Scopinitout1: I'm very sorry to hear that, Paul. I hope you'll be able to have the joy of another relationship and marriage with a wonderful woman in the near future. paulduval70: thank you scopintout you your comment, but I really don't wont another relationship, I have my son who I am bring up on my own, but its a real joy in life to watch him grow up, his mother would so proud him. Angel_of_Mine_Rose: some people dont want another relationship cause they found there soul mate,My aunt died in 2005 with cancer and her husband my uncle in law didnt date anyone when he died before he did his first words he said that he going home to his true love....So I say Paul feels same way about his wife like my uncle in law did for my aunt... paulduval70: yes I do, I know its been 5 years now, but no one can replace nor do I have any love to give now Angel_of_Mine_Rose: you shouldnt have too that true love right there my uncle felt same way about my aunt he didnt want anyone but her and when went home like I said he said first words said I am going home to my true love Artist4U: I tried it, turned out to be sex only which I love but after a few months there has to be more. Scopinitout1: I kind of doubt it exists. I think most of us have had a time or two (or three? ) when we've hit it off with someone right away and there was that elusive "chemistry," but love takes time and finesse to develop. I have to admit - there was a gal once, and it seemed to happen. But like you, Artist - I doubt it was "love." sickandtired604: it happens I met a woman that we locked eyes and fell in love instantly the best relationships I was ever in paulmansfield2009: chemistry plays a big part; age is only a myth ; if it's there you will know; I am not chasing the glass slipper I found my princess; you can find yours too; you said it it's a matter of time; |
