fake people roseboyd14: why are people out for only one thing? to decieve another? you dont find many real people out there anymore. its a real shame. and this is coming from a girl of only 21!!! i dont know much of this world, but all ive seen so far is lying, cheating on partners, people judging people, plenty of lusting and real injustice in this world, not to mention what we are doing to the earth.( a whole nother story in itself) . its nasty and rediculous. In this life, there is only one real thing, and that is LOVE. Even that, though, is being slowly infected with our way of life today. That is what i think. tell me, what do you all think we can do about this? I don't know why but people have gotten much worse over the past 20 years. It'll get better but when? lol I feel I'm the only nice and real guy out there. Doing those things should make a person question who they are. Not saying that they are good or bad people, just wrong decisions, in my opinion. Corwin: What I have learned to do over the years is surround myself with only those few genuine people that you will be lucky enough to find. Better to have only a few friends than a whole bunch of fake ones. Corwin: Oh, and allycat slightly misinterpreted what I was getting at... what I was trying to say with that quote is that we don't stop caring about the rest of the world... but we also don't punish ourselves by wallowing in it, either emotionally or physically... we do what we can as good human-beings (a rarity), but know when to say "when", and know also how to distance ourselves from it... and seek out other rare humans like us. This is merely one step up from "apathy" which the "have a drink" statement implies, but this is why I included that quote... we can make a difference... but we should chose our battles carefully... and don't sacrifice your own happiness to try and save the world. Pour yourself a drink, enjoy the pure joy of existence... don't stop caring... but shield yourself from the bad. Only let in what is good... and only give out something good...... I think that is what I am doing right now. I refuse to give up on Humanity... merely because I am a member of this species... sometimes I am ashamed of us... but when I turn off the TV and pour myself a drink... and dwell on what is beautiful about us..... well..... then it's not so bad.
