Anyway, I was referring to the average, everyday joe... the overlooked people who NEVER stop learning because their arrogance or hubris prevents them from growth (eh..hmmm). The man knew nothing, so pretty much everything he said can be disregarded. The times were 2500 B.C.E., the greatest philosophers of the time wouldn't be considered good thinkers today. They'd probably be pretty mediocre college students now. I doubt they would even be able to hold a position at a high school or community college at their level. They didn't have the resources, the years of mistakes, and other better thinkers to study. Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Christopher Langen, Rick Rosner, Gary Kasporov, James Woods. I think determining intelligence is pretty faulty. I'm sure they'd all come off as intelligent people, but how can you determine that they are smarter than the other 7 billion people on this planet just by the performance of a few tests? Unless they are working on some equation or invention that will improve the world greatly then they are just trying to outsmart everyone by getting an A+ instead of an A-.
