What ever happened to common sense? iqoverlord: Lets us talk about our real life experiences were the lack of common sense prevails. Example: When I was a mechanic a woman brought in her SUV and explained that the radio and cigarette lighter stopped working. She explained that they had stopped a few weeks ago and she really needed them fixed as soon as possible.... She also explained her husband and his friends had checked the fuses and they were "O.K.". As I started my checking I realized she had no horn, turn signals, interior lights, dash lights, parking lights, and tail lights. She did have brake lights and head lights. The problem was simple to fix. One of the two primary power wires had shorted and burned into... What I couldn't believe was she had been driving the vehicle at night back and forth to work for almost a month and her only concern was the radio and cigarette lighter. Oh and she knew about the other things but all she really wanted fixed was the radio and cigarette lighter..... Yes I am repeating it for a reason... I bet I heard about how much she needed the radio and cigarette lighter more than 20 time in the hour it took to test, trace, and repair the short... Lol.  hornchurchmale: common sense was a term applied to majority fair reasoning and logic being applied. these days political correctness and attitude changes to put self first. have to a large extent set aside any real 'common' sense . hornchurchmale: update .judge here in UK ruled against a cyclist whom collided with a female who walked into road without looking using her phone. witnesses all say she was at fault adult not looking and cyclist was given no chance to avoid her. saying he was reckless riding. she won compensation and he is having to pay court costs. common sense would say an adult recklessly walking into a road deserves to get run over. luckily not killed! however these days it seems we no longer operate at that level.
