today2then: wow, there sure are some heavy - hearted discussions on this forum. Its nice to see freedom of thought and speech is alive and well. I'm not sure i've ever really thought about this that deeply. Yet, to each their own. The differences in this world make life valuable (to me.. in my opinion only).

BeautifulRejection: I believe some of us are already living our life after death and this our heaven and our hell is what we make of it.. I have died 4 times.. Completely no heart no brain functions out cold... Never was it stated that things were to be perfect after we die forever just that at that time all of our sins and worrys will be washed away (for you bible belivers) It never said for how long.. If you are a so called Satin worshiper who is to say you didn't already die the day you excepted that. Why is it every one has to follow certain ideas.. Religon is becoming a politic and therefore so is dying... I believe that life is what we make it.. This is my heaven and this is my hell...

KailahMariah: i do not believe there is one. I have died once and actually, it was peaceful. so is being in a coma but that's a different subject

Brokenarrow: I have died before and I happen to know that there is life after death. Now it might not be that golden gate crap with all the angels ect but, I was dead and I was aware of it.. If you actually think about it, there is a guarantee of life after death because of the aspect that we are all made up of energy and energy never ceases to exist. So no matter what may occur we will all continue to exist in some way after our human form has ended.

Also makes me laugh how the religious hang on to this heaven/paradise fantasy...Proof right there that religions are so materialistic, with their promises of mouthwatering material gain - Jesus speaks of treasures and mansions in heaven, the rewards for a good Muslim in paradise etc
Religions use these promises as an inducement to follow them, and then to keep their flocks of sheep in line. Nothing more, nothing less.

john1576: Naboo. Son't mention 'Mansions in Heaven'. Upper Class Church goers here are appalled at the idea 'working class scum' will even go to Heaven, and now you are suggesting the 'scum' will get Mansions.

Comrade_: No to me I don't think there's life after death. Then I see no purpose for "death" if there is to be life after..it'd be a cruel thing to separate loved ones by a wall of death then to put them on the other side.. but that's my opinion.

Not that I do agree that Death is easier than life, in a way that is a more philosophical opinion but, I just didnt think that you could kinda bring ppl down as you keep living life meeting ppl that stay connected with you and whatnot....
