Power of Perceptions

What if the current world we are living is what we have created based off our own thoughts; own conclusions and own words? If that is true, in what ways would we change our world? I am not talking about the entire planet Earth, I am talking about our inner world that creates a ripple effect in our everyday surroundings.

On a personal level, I realized I was living from a place of pain for a while. And because of that perception, it made living or wanting to live very challenging. Recently, a friend said some simple words to me that change my entire world. I had just ended a 2 year relationship and the thought of wanting to get into another felt like it would be very painful and exhausting attempt. Her simple words, "You want another relationship, you just don't want to be hurt again." From that moment, I saw how in every area of my life was coming from pain instead of peace, rest, love, and hope.
I decided from that moment forward, to focus only on what I wanted to experienced, what I wanted to have, what I desired and began to visualize that reality.

Perception is powerful. When we have experiences, instead of letting them simply be experiences and allow all those emotions in those experiences to flow through us. We hold on to them like trophies or memorials of reminders. The longer we hold on to them, they began to become apart of us and get intertwined into our identity when actually it wasn't meant for that but simply an experience to have and to let go.

What are your feelings on creating worlds with our thoughts?

haroldguillen: I had been plagued with pain and disappointment so many times that I begin to sense a pattern, when I get my hopes up, things don't work out and I begin to block out any opportunity for happiness I could have because of my past experience.
Presently I try to use my past as learning experiences so I can cope more with the present, but sometimes my perception of reality in the presents is corrupted by my bad experiences from the past and I just want to hide away when it would probably be a good idea to take a few chances and live in the present and deal with what ever happens.

haroldguillen: there can be so many choices to make in how I can affect my view of the place around me and some are good and many are bad, part of how I can live is making up for bad mistakes or choices I have made and trying not to reverse what's been do, rather making up for it

junyabee: our vocabulary and how we use it in a lexicon, Does it predetermine how we conceive, let alone articulate what we conceive? Should or Could we think in metaphorical terms on our sensory field so to be able to transcend our states of mind and its operational purposes? http://b.link/type60

Humans and eny life are much more fundamentally connected than previous thoughts. This is now considered to be one of the greatest discovery in all of physics. That our mind is preeminent to be your brothers keeper and do help each other. We are simply wired to help others that is why we feel so good when done that. Like everyone around you slow down and you connect better. Unlike do something humanity is not supposed to be doing even if it’s seems right we don’t choose what is that best way to connect. Feeling at ease instead of anger and irritation. We need those feelings as well to leave but not for a long time and stay in that bad state of mind.

haroldguillen: I was at work last night, and it bothered me to hear my co-workers saying " I can't do it" when confronted with a new challenge. The concept of learning something new almost seemed like a reason for them to have a panic attack. When I wanted to show them or teach them something new, it just seemed like they didn't care or coming up with excuses to not learn, like, " the boss really wanted me to work on this" Education doesn't end just cause one already graduated from school. Being perceptive to learning something new everyday is essential to being human and being perceptive to a developing mind. Asking questions, finding out the answers, trying something while making mistakes can make us perceptive to the world around us. Getting through the obstacles and making the occasional mistake is paramount to being human and perceiving the world around us.
