Frozen in Time WineNSarcasm: I cannot seem to move from here, pull forward nor go back. Transfixed inside my miseries that weigh upon my back Isolated as I am, in this empty place This dismal box. Alone. No light within this place. ~ Past mem'ries they beseech me "Look upon our page !" I've read so many times before; it's time to turn the page And forget what happened years ago and move ahead somehow To begin another life somewhere...sometime...ahead...somehow. ~ Join in the public throng and searching for your face This sullen milieu about is me is what I have to face. Surely, joy is to be found, somewhere around me here ! I hear no laughter, no merriment. No. No. Not here ! ~ What cruel jokes the Fates have played on one to such as me Did I do such wrong to them, somehow, that they should torture me Or was I born to bear such pain for all Eternity ?
