You took my hand
You said, lets go play pretend.

Lets run with scissors, and play with knives. Until someone wins over, the loss.

Papercuts meant nothing,
But who got the toy car was everything..

I miss the days when life was simpler.
I miss the days that we knew nothing.

The comfort of our parents was all we knew...
But now when we make lemonade,
Its just salt in the wound.

So lets...disinfect my heart with lemon juice.
Help me mellow out that deep and painful wound.

Theres still cuts and bruises
from when i scraped my knee.
Riding my bike, pretending we were free.

Now im waiting
For that bitter sweet meloncholy.
That taste of lemonade to set me free.

My violets are dead,
Im a little tired and should go to bed
But here I sit and there I stare..

Violets are Blue
I clearly haven't got anything better to do.....
