Dusty Road daisiesnfld: Dusty Road . A windswept narrow dusty road Farther down leads to barbed wire Past daisy fields and over yonder To a swing in an old tire . Swinging slowly in a forgotten breeze It beckons for one more ride To glimpse the tree tops and the secrets Where we'd run and play and hide . Overgrown are well worn paths Of small bare feet that once trod there And forgotten now the treasures Kept in secret burial somewhere . Baby dolls lined 'round a tree stump Sipping tea from doll dishes Served daintily by their mistress Long gone with dreams and wishes . Sun sets along that dusty road That stretches way past the fields Rises again in yet another world Where its memories are relived . © Daisies (Post deleted by eyeofthetiger2u7 ) | poems Chat Room Similar Conversations |
