When The Music Died

eyeofthetiger2u7: When The Music Died
~
It's show time the curtain is raised
And the orchestra is ready to play
The audience awaits to be amazed
Will this be a rhapsody or a ballet
~
When the maestro tap taps his baton
All the instruments played in rhythm
Drifting in the wind like a blue swan
On golden pond in the early Autumn
~
On a piano the keys play a rhapsody
The metronome keeping perfect time
Each music score is a perfect melody
And every word is in excellent rhyme
~
The music floats like a gentle zephyr
Higher and higher into an azure sky
Then returning again only as a blur
And the audience all wondered why
~
The conductor grimaced with a frown
Soon this rhapsody begins to subside
Like the white Rose that turns brown
This is the night when the music died

youarewell2: I could really feel this. The music floating like a "zephyr". I didn't want the music to die though. lol. This poem kept my interest all the way to end. Bravo.
