lavendar_star: chronology, every other western countries does not do the death penalty especially the far more socialised type countries of Scandinavian and I would bet no European nations would ever go back to the death penalty and US system of justice makes that even more so i.e. innocent people having been sent to their deaths.


However, what I find disturbing and so disrespectful to the victims and families was Breivik smiling that he was classed sane as I guess that means to him that his views are not crazy, I think true justice would be that he never leaves prison alive.

I think the Norwegian people have been so great and upstanding in how they have cope and responded to the tragedy and send a good example to other countries the world over.

Widgette: While focusing on the fact that Breivik is a terrorist, one often tends to forget that his main motive for doing his acts is deeply rooted in racism. He hates what he frequently likes to call "the Islamisation of Europe" and he targets the Labour Party as the foremost instigator of selling out Norway to the Muslims, a process he claims have gone on for some forty years and enabled Muslims to ripe unjust benefits from our welfare system so that they now may drive expensive Mercedeses and BMWs, while many ethnical Norwegians live from hand to mouth and from day to day, slightly above the starvation line.

The Labour Party has admitted that they might have been too generous in their long-term open-border policy and the new leadership realises that changes must come, but as the Norwegian saying go, it's too late to lock the stable door after the horse has escaped...

Many opposition politicians have protested against such reverse discrimination, but the Labour Party and their partners have been in office for most of the time and also held the majority of the seats in our Parliament (Stortinget), so nothing has been done to fix this flaw in our democracy.
