Hamas says committed to mutual truce with Israel (Page 3)

Arab citizens of Israel[2] or Israeli Arabs, refers to citizens of Israel who are not Jewish, and whose cultural and linguistic heritage or ethnic identity is Arab.[3]
The traditional vernacular of Arab citizens, irrespective of religion, is the Arabic language, or more precisely, the Palestinian dialect of Arabic. Most Arab citizens of Israel are functionally bilingual, their second language being Modern Hebrew. By religious affiliation, most are Muslim, particularly of the Sunni branch of Islam. There is a significant Arab Christian minority from various denominations as well as Druze, among other religious communities. Jews of Arab extraction are not considered to form part of this population.

According to Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics, the Arab population of Israel in 2010 is estimated at 1,573,000, representing 20.4% of the population.[4] The majority of these identify themselves as Arab or Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship.[5][6][7] Many have family ties to Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. Negev Bedouins tend to identify more as Israelis than other Arab citizens of Israel.[8]

Most of the Arabs living in East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967, were offered Israeli citizenship, but refused, not wanting to recognize Israeli sovereignty. They became permanent residents.[9]

They are entitled to municipal services and have voting rights.[10]

There are no Jews living in Gaza. They were all evacuated in 2005.

There are Jews living in settlements but none live outside of those settlements on the West Bank. There is no tolerance for Jews living outside of the settlements.

So in Israel; you are allowed to be whatever religion and ethnicity you want? In Israel; you are free to have a say in how the country runs; regardless of your culture/religion?

In the Palestinian territories you are only allowed to be Muslim? In the Palestinian territories you are only allowed a say if you are Muslim?

SHOCKING David!

Outbackjack: David you are deliberately being misleading.

I said the ideology of Zionism is racist not Israel itself(with exception to Zionist politicians).

I get tired of you trying to behave like a victim here.Hiding behind the holocaust and trying to pass off any criticism of Zionism/The Occupation as an attack on the whole of Israel.

I see you havent spammed the thread with any Charters regarding Zionism.
Funny that.

David Responds:

Once again, perhaps you have a read comprehension problem. I’ve posted from the Jewish Virtual Library what the definition of Zionism is. You want to discuss that definition, great. Here it is again…

“Zionism, the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel, advocated, from its inception, tangible as well as spiritual aims. Jews of all persuasions, left and right, religious and secular, joined to form the Zionist movement and worked together toward these goals. Disagreements led to rifts, but ultimately, the common goal of a Jewish state in its ancient homeland was attained. The term “Zionism” was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum.”

Also a few other definitions from other sources:

Zionism (Hebrew: ציונות‎, Tsiyonut) is a Jewish political movement that, in its broadest sense, has supported the self-determination of the Jewish people in a sovereign Jewish national homeland.[1] Since the establishment of the State of Israel, the Zionist movement continues primarily to advocate on behalf of the Jewish state and address threats to its continued existence and security.

So before you start throwing around the word racism, first answer the question….

Do you believe Israel has the right to exist? Yes or no.

OFF COURSE THEY DON'T FEEL WELCOME, NINNY, THEY ARE OCCUPYING SOME ONE ELSES LAND!

Fog asking for statistics on Jewish settlers Rights in West Bank and Gaza. HEY FOG NEXT TIME SOME GUY BURGLES YOUR HOUSE, WE CAN ALL HERE ASK HOW MANY RIGHTS HE HAD WHILE HE WAS IN YOUR PROPERTY.

Am beginning to think there is truth in this Fluoride conspiracy, and Fog and David are big water drinkers. Hey Guys, stick to the Beer, you make more sense, (and that ain't sayin much'.

FogofWar: "OFF COURSE THEY DON'T FEEL WELCOME, NINNY, THEY ARE OCCUPYING SOME ONE ELSES LAND!"

So no Jews lived in Palestine before the creation of Israel chrono? I would think carefully before calling someone else dumb on this subject.

"HEY FOG NEXT TIME SOME GUY BURGLES YOUR HOUSE, WE CAN ALL HERE ASK HOW MANY RIGHTS HE HAD WHILE HE WAS IN YOUR PROPERTY."

Hey chrono; the next time you get pissy about someone asking a simple question you should remember that there were Jewish Palestinians living in Palestine since the Palestinian people came to be. These Jewish ancestors first came to the region when it was Israel; created out of Canaan, shortly after Moses left Egypt. These Jews have been in the region longer than most anyone. They have taken NO home from anyone else; other than their ancestors in which they inherited it from. Funny that their rights are not respected; yet the Muslims living in Israel are.

I suggest you do a little more thinking before you post next time chronology. Your anti-semitism clearly clouds your judgement.

And on that topic; shall we ask the question of who's land the West Bank and Gaza strip is? Think carefully before answering out of rage chrono. It doesn't look smart to yell a bunch inaccurate statements at those who are actually discussing real facts.

So generally I dont even waste too much time these days replying to a couple of morons.

There are way too many other larger sites on the internet these days that appreciate me making an effort as opposed to the usual copy and paste horseshit that you two clowns seem to spam the threads with.
