In Your Face: CNN Segment on Libya Entitled “New World Order”

flashie:

The clip features the usual NWO suspects, including Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations since July 2003; former U.S. rep Jane Harman, soon to be the boss of the globalist training center, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; the neocon Robert Kagan, who is a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a PNAC co-founder, and the neocon and former CIA director under Clinton, James Woolsey, who is a self-described “Joe Lieberman Democrat” (meaning he advocates bombing small and defenseless Muslim countries) who is also a PNAC supporter and former member of the CIA-infested Freedom House (an Orwellian term – it should be called the “Color Revolution House”).

flashie: i dont think buying nukes/misiles/weapons and waging war will help anything but weapons manufacturers/arms dealers bank accounts.

"the answer to 1984 is 1776"

we have political systems in place, we aspire to a democratic system - ppl need to educate themselves and use their votes i guess. war and terrorism isnt an option imo.

we just need to stop drinking the kool aid and ignoring facts and let the minority who've hijacked our political system know that the game is up. and were not buying their bullshit.

what do you think hellbhoy?

hellbhoy: NIXON ... you can fool all of the people some of the time ... you can fool some of the people all of the time ... but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Best quotation ever from a corrupt politician ever ha ha.

Even in the UK they tell us we have a democracy of sorts ! vote this way or that way and nothing inbetween. When it's really an elite minority pulling the strings in the background and if you rise up you only need to remember what happened to the Kennedy's when they tried to invoke change to the old establishment did not like.Obama is a puppet president to appease the lowly masses and has been shown to be "OH NO YOU CAN'T" when he tried to give the US proper change for the good of the people because big corporations feared they would lose billions of dollars.Guantanamo bay, free health care are a couple he CAN'T ... the peasants will revolt and all that eventually.

Wampum6: Hellbhoy -

I don't think you can legitimately credit Richard Nixon with being the originator of the, "You can fool all of the people some of the time..." quote. I think you are more apt to find that it goes back to P.T. Barnum, or even Abraham Lincoln. Of course, I could be wrong.

StuckInTheSixties: hellbhoy, Google "you can fool some of the people" and you'll come up with a HUGE amount of information.

Wampum, like most people, I was under the impression that the "You can fool some of the people ..." quote was P.T. Barnum's. It appears, as you say, that it probably originated with Abraham Lincoln. (No f&^~$x@ way did it originate, or can it even be attributed to, Richard M. Nixon. Big fail there, hellbhoy.)

Thanks for the nugget of semi-useful information, Wampum.

Sits seeing as your a encyclopedia brainiacia maybe you could source who first coined the phrase "Everyone hates a smart arse"

stephinrazin: Then is there is video rebel posted a while back about how there were plans for a Libyan invasion for some time.

The telegraph also has wikileaks documents showing plans to remove the Libyan regime have been under way for some time.

And this interview is rather intriguing..

Interview with Giulietto Chiesa, former member of the European Parliament and Italian journalist covering international relations. He says the Libyan war was planned months in advance...

Mr. Chiesa, but is there any clause in any international law which envisages intervention to protect the civil population, like the pretext that was used in case of Libya?

Now we know that it was a pretext, because many documents are appearing now in the last days that show that there was no mass killing in Libya, and the first information that was given by Al-Jazeera for instance, speaking of 10,000 dead, was absolutely false, and mass graves in Libya have never been shown, and many other things we know now.

I would like to add that now we know that France and Great Britain organized, signed a pact in November 2010, which means several months before the beginning of that war, signed a pact to defend themselves – there is more or less an official formulation which has been published on the Internet, and it is possible to see it on the Internet - calling for such a kind of a military exercise, named Southern Mistral 2011, and in this document it is written that the military action from the part of France and Great Britain should be done between March 21st and 25th.

It means that we have in this military exercise the full description of the aggression against Libya; it means all the argumentation according to which the intervention is done for humanitarian reasons is completely false, and it was a pretext.

THE LIBYA WAR WAS LONG PLANNED
By Johan Galtung

, APRIL 2011, 2011 (IPS) - The attack on Libya was long in the works. Since Colonel Muammar Gaddafi seized power in a military coup in 1969, overthrowing King Idris and forcing the American military out of Libya, the US has been planning to overthrow him, writes Johan Galtung, Founder of TRANSCEND, a Peace Development Environment Network, and author of "The Fall of the US Empire - And Then What?"

In this analysis Galtung writes that In 1981 the CIA created the National Front for the Salvation of Libya and its own Libyan National Army, which launched a series of armed attacks in the 1980s. The CIA armed the NFSL, and its spokesman, Ibrahim Sahad, launched the demonstrations in February 2011 that led to the humanitarian crisis. Unlike in Tunisia and Egypt, the demonstrations were quickly militarised. The US and Saudi Arabia had a deal: "You invade Bahrain and we take out Gaddafi."

After the great 2011 Arab revolt came the US-Saudi counter-revolution, and NATO's first African war, presumably with the goal of getting US-NATO-AFRICOM bases in Libya, access to oil in East Libya, a neo-liberal economy, and so on. There is nothing new here. US-Western foreign policy is based on interests, plus pretexts for the naive.
