'The Billionairs Tea Party' (Page 2) ohnonotthatguy: These Tea Parties must be sponsored by big corporations or wealthy people Who pays for: 1) Rally facilities(halls,stadiums,parks.etc.) 2) Hotels for guest speakers(and no they dont do it for free) 3) advertisement and promotional material Any replies on these 3 anybody? (Edited by ohnonotthatguy) OCD_OCD: ROFL. Obama has done such a good job in promoting class warfare. If you work for it, you're a corporate slut. If you don't work for it, you still deserve it. If you own a company, it's unfair. If you take the financial risk, you should do so willingly and then allow your employees to tell you how much you deserve to keep and how much they deserve to take from you. And the one I love is...."everyone deserves to own a home". The only question is: Do I have to pay for mine and part of theirs? The answer is yes. Of course I do. Because EVERYONE deserves to have what I have whether they work for it or not. You don't EARN it if you have to take it from someone else. OCD_OCD: I guess he missed Obama's $35,000/plate dinner. Maybe you missed George Soros, too. Look him up. LOL OCD_OCD: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/indusall.php?cycle=2008 Read who his contributors were during the last election. You need to do some research before you speak. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates. Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers. ROFL Outbackjack: Looks like we have a tea party nut errr I mean supporter of the Republican front organisation on our hands. Outbackjack: Ummmm what kind of "facts" are these that you speak of? The fact that the tea party was mainly formed by Republicans. OCD_OCD: The facts about the contributors, Jack. Our politicians are required to disclose who their contributors are if they receive any money from the government for their election. The Tea Party was formed by conservatives, Jack. There is a difference. Outbackjack: As far as I am concerned there is little difference between the two main political parties in almost all OECD countries. So the fact that some of the largest corporations on the planet are donating to them clearly illustrates that. You should do some research on these tea party nutcases and the actual founding. You will find that there are many republicans behind this front group. OCD_OCD: The Tea Party has democrats and republicans and libertarians and independents. The thing that brings them together is ther conservatism. Outbackjack: How about you first list the founders of the Tea party. Then list the main organisers. Then list all the prominent Republicans, independant, democrats.Dont leave any out if you can avoid it. OCD_OCD: I don't care who the founders of the Tea Party were. It doesn't change the fact that they are all conservatives. chronology: Well well, 9 years ago. I'd forgotten all about this thread. The Tea Party Nut Jobs have morphed into Qanon, the Proud Boys and goodness knows what else in the 9 years since this thread started. The Right Wingers in the USA will probably be the new Flat Earth Society 9 years from now. They just get more weird every year. | Politics Chat Room 78 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
