Should the US intervene to promote democracy? (Page 25) davidk14: Lori, When I read that you had an 'accident' then maybe...maybe...I would perhaps suggest to myself that you might have something. But....your stuff is so far out there without any proof.... Sorry. . cocacolacowboy27: I am a columnist for a Wall Street site....you cant tell me anything about the EU finacial problem I dont already know cocacolacowboy27: Actually that is all conjecture, and what he was about to offer is circumstantial evidence...for some one who is afraid to post a pic, you sure like to spout bs about conspiratorial plots to bring the world to its knees.... Holmes wasn't set up. He was fucked up, thats why he did what he did. Has nothing to do with Wall Street or the banks, or any of that. YetiFinder: I think this forum is to discuss whether Should the US intervene to promote democracy or not. Please give ur reasons. Its not about any other nations, its only about america. the real slim DEEPy: i e given my opinion, democrocy is not something a backwards nation can handle responsibly, and whenever we intervene in foreign affairs, we always make new enemies. cocacolacowboy27: We were once a backwards nation, and we seem to have learned how to promote democracy within our own borders. i believe we should aid other countries who cry out for help in achieving a democratic form of government and freedom. France came to our aid when we requested help, why should we not do the same for others. However, we should indeed remember that we are peacemakers, not peacekeepers. Once the militant situation is handled to a degree that indigenous people can control it, our troops should come home. Coffrey: I think all peoples should be free, regardless of how they want to run their society. As long as they don't cause trouble, then they should be free to be as backwards or crazy as they want to be. The minute they start breaking international law, then they should be held accountable, but not before just because we think, because we don't understand their culture, they are going to go to war with people they disagree with. Bumpa: Once backwards Cowboy? Still backwards is my impression. To feel superior just because you have more bombs than anyone else...... Well it's kinda like 2 trolls comparing clubs to me. Anyway, USA NEEDS to invade other countries, how are your kids going to learn geography otherwise? cocacolacowboy27: Well...it isn't just the bombs Bumpa....We have a superior legal system, except it isn't being used properly...we aren't backwards...we just refuse to use what we know to move on. Coffrey: Actually I'm curious to know what you mean by backward. You mean technologically? Or culturally? Or in some other way? Bumpa: Coffrey, I mean culturally. Nobody can deny the technological advances USA has made, particularly in the military which is exactly WHY I consider you culturally backward | Politics Chat Room 78 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
