Its not about any other nations, its only about america.  the real slim DEEPy: i e given my opinion, democrocy is not something a backwards nation can handle responsibly, and whenever we intervene in foreign affairs, we always make new enemies. cocacolacowboy27: We were once a backwards nation, and we seem to have learned how to promote democracy within our own borders. i believe we should aid other countries who cry out for help in achieving a democratic form of government and freedom. France came to our aid when we requested help, why should we not do the same for others. However, we should indeed remember that we are peacemakers, not peacekeepers. Once the militant situation is handled to a degree that indigenous people can control it, our troops should come home. As long as they don't cause trouble, then they should be free to be as backwards or crazy as they want to be.
