Extremely bad day for Obama...the end is near for him davidk14: Since there is a thread for Romney, to be fair and balanced, there must be one for Obama as well.... Extremely bad day for Obama...the end is near for him (Post deleted by southern77 ) davidk14: . Jack, Look at the definition and history of eugenics in the US. Then look at Kattie's post above. If this wasn't just in the 13 New York City inner schools, I could understand your criticism. They are targeting the poor and race specific. . franklin1950: obama will win. he has the best comedy writers. he has better speech writers he is a great orator/speech reader he golfs he plays basketball he will do and say what ever it takes to win he has a radiant smill he looks so damed presidential he is a nobel piece prise winner his vision of america is utopian in its scope his solutions to the big problems have been totally effective he is the greatest comander and chief [ending two wars ] he appointed the most effective people to positions of power within his administration he has united the diverse american population i could go on but do not want to appear biased or cultish in my unfettered love of this the greatest most historic visionary and effective president of all times [ past and future ] the man who finally brought change to the us of a and the world. 'Graphics card' 'race card' are we going to have some mad computer problems unless Americans get over it? I see Romney has attacked 'the Russians' I guess maybe there is a scam about the 'Romanovs' and what happened to the Russians who went to America??? Sarcastic Dots: How about posting the full thing? "I want to see us export more jobs," Obama said, before catching himself quickly and saying, "Export more products." "Excuse me," he exclaimed, drawing laughter. "I was channeling my opponent there for a second." Nice try though. Sarcastic Dots: I get the irony in that, when Romney misspeaks, people make it into something bigger than it actually is, but unlike Romney's far more contentious statements, the statement Obama made was corrected within seconds. Obama basically admitted he was an idiot there -- that's something. When Romney actually says something imbecilic he takes days to respond, and when he does, it's rarely to acknowledge that he was incorrect. Moreover, the second part of the statement is why Mitt Romney better be on top form for the debates, because Obama's oratory skills are, for better or worse, his strongest asset -- even when Obama makes a mistake, he can take a pot-shot at his rivals. Despite a lot of detractors, I don't think Romney is an awful speaker, in that, compared to other right-wingers, he can temper his tone to the point that he gains voters rather than alienating them. Besides, there seems to be a market for bumbling language given that Bush Jr held two terms. Maybe people will find Obama's overconfident style of speaking a bit patronising. I dunno. Sadly, in private, all that "acting" for votes melts away and, sadly for him, that candid video of his has done him no favours. OCD_OCD: "Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit.. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans." OCD_OCD: Here's a good one. LOL WASHINGTON — The White House said President Obama misspoke Tuesday when he referred to a “Polish death camp.” The President’s remark had drawn immediate complaints from Poles who said Obama should have said a “German death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland.” Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski called it a matter of “ignorance and incompetence.” Obama made the comment while awarding the Medal of Freedom to Jan Karski, a resistance fighter against the Nazi occupation of Poland during World War II. National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor said: “The President misspoke. He was referring to Nazi death camps in Poland.” | Politics Chat Room 59 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
