BUSH DID IT (Page 10)

chronology
chronology: davidk14 The Law regarding War is complex to say the least. When Julius Foster the father of Jodie Foster the Actress left the U.S. and joined as a Pilot in the 'American Eagle Squadren' the U.S. State Department issued an arrest Warrant for him. It was illegal for Americans to become involved in the hostilities at the time in Europe. The American Eagle Squadren' was viewed as illegal by Washington.

The State Department withdrew Arrest Warrents for all American Pilots after the U.S. became involved in hostilities with Germany.

The UN is a joke. You know this and if you don't, you are not reading enough about how screwed up the UN is. A country has the right to defend itself. It does not need a UN resolution to effectively protect itself. Recently, three Israeli's were kidnapped and the UN did not recognize that the kidnappings took place. Israel has been bombarded by Hamas in the south and yet, the UN says and does nothing. The UN has effectively done nothing about the genocides in numerous countries like Rwanda, Darfur and Nigeria to name a few. How about the 300 school girls that were kidnapped by an Islamist terror group? Where is the UN?

How about Iran on the UN Human Rights Council? A terrorist haven on the UN Human Rights Council. Now that's ridiculous. And if you try to defend that, you join the group of fools that do.

davesdatahut: Gotta agree with David on this one, at least when it comes to diffusing territorial or military conflict. The UN is, at best, a place where some disputes can be mediated. But it's mostly a place where stalemates lead to stalemates and nothing gets resolved.
At worst, it's a place the world ignores.

Was it Saddam or the US that used WMD's on the Iraqi people?

Was it Saddam or the US that had rape rooms in Iraq?

Was it Saddam or the US that invaded Kuwait?

Answer: Saddam, Saddam, and Saddam. The US put an end to all three.

The US is not the bad guy here. Its the crazies of the Middle East, specifically, the Islamic fundamentalists, radical extremists and the Iranian mullahs.

The US did not create these crazy lunatic nutcases. They have been around for centuries, a dozen centuries, all the way back to Mohammad. The US wasn't even a twinkle in anyone's eyes when Mohammad walked the earth around 600 AD.

Nice try in making the US the cause of problems among Muslims. They are slaughtering each other.

Typical Obama left wing propaganda. Trash. Slander. Find something new. Same old crap.

Why don't you go after ISIS who are murdering and using crucifixion as a tool of terror and would do the same to you if they had the chance. You can definitely blame Obama for their taking over the vacuum he left by running away.

davesdatahut: David, are you prepared to send our soldiers back into the Iraqi mess, which is not solvable by us and never was? I'm not defending ISIS, nor would I even think to. But we can't fix that mess. And Cheney is a frothing crank who should go over there himself and fight if he's so gung ho about being the world's policeman.
Personally, I think he can't deal with his current place in history, and the fact that he led the charge into Iraq and has the blood of our soldiers on his hands, and now is hoping for some bottom-of-the-ninth-inning comeback that will save his hawk ass in the history books. Just my hunch from hearing him talk in many interviews.

chronology: dave3974 'the reasonable Iran'. No disrespect to the Iranian Authorities, but they have the highest rate of Stoning Executions in the world. The usual method is for men to be buried up to their waist then pelted with rocks by 50 men until they are dead. Women are buried up to their necks and also pelted with rocks by 50 men.

About 4 or 5 people are executed in this manner each year, sometimes more, sometimes less. But Human Rights campainers claim there are secret stoning executions held in the desert out of sight, or in cemeteries early in the morning, out of public view.

Islamic fighters are said to be supervising some such executions in territory they control in order to terrorise the people, using religion as an excuse to justify their terror. Women's advocacy groups also claim women are more often victims of wrongful execution by stoning.

davesdatahut: The stoning thing is one reason, among so many, that we cannot change that part of the world, no matter how many invasions we do and bombs we drop. You'd think we would have learned by now and the hawks would stop with this monstrous foolishness. We can no more 'nation-build' and install what we think will be friendly governments over there than I can give birth to a pair of chickens.
People say 'but we need to crush ISIS.' Bombs bombs bombs. More of our solders dying. Yes, like we went after Al Queda. But you kill one, another pops up, like mushrooms. We need to disengage from that area of the world as much as possible and stop holding hands with the governments whose policies generate monsters like ISIS.
