So what you are saying is that the people who do not want to be dominated by communism ( ala Russia) are in the wrong?

TroyBooooy: No, no. The people who are for communism are the ones who are wrong. Their way of thinking is out dated, plus it's hypocrisy. There can never be a place where all men/women are equal.

The13th: While it may be true that the original episode is EU vs non-EU, somewhere along the line some political faction is using the opportunity to oust the government by pumping sniper bullets into unsuspected victims and blame it on ousted government. And most likely, some faction of the society against another. Very foul.

The13th: And I wonder why UK is so enthusiastic. I got an impression that since they stick to pound and sterling they are not having too much faith in EU at least in its present state.
I said "enthusiastic" because unlike the cold war era you have to make a stand no matter you are right or wrong. Its enemies on the other side of line. This whole "support Ukraine to join EU" stuff does not feel like stand, a struggle, a matter of life and dead. It felt a bit like "let's maximize this opportunity to one up Russia" because see what they do to us in the last few years. Settle some old and new scores that's all. The Ukraine gov is using their population to gain power. The west is using Ukraine to settle some scores with Russia. Everyone is trying to use everyone else.

The13th: Believe me Putin is trying to save lives. Ukraine government know that their soldiers will not fight russia. At the first contact the Ukraine solildiers will run, then the Ukraine gov will just bomb and kill their own soldiers then claimed the Russian has invaded the country but all these will not achieve anything.

The13th: I am not sure whats the idealistic goal of EU, but I imagine a union of European countries would mean in future people in Europe live happily together, the Bulgarian will love the Romania who love the Hungarian who love the Russian who love the Ukraine who love the Egnlish who love the German that sort of things. Their scientists and mathematicians and computer programmer are going to work together to create marveolous stuffs, and make US pale by comparison, No more World War etc. But apparently I was wrong, it looks like the EU work more like a gang. This gang is going to alienate Russia which is an important part of Europe and potential EU member just so that they can get hold of a piece of pie called Ukraine. EU has done nothing to pacify the current situation, or adopt a more diplomatic approach by asking both sides to back down, but rather intentionally add fuel to an already tense situation by standing on the side of Ukrain and threaten Russia with sanction. Make no mistake how Russian think: this bunch of turkey is trying to deny my destiny again by plotting behind my backyard. This is war and I have to act. And the EU is creating a permanent enemy in Russia. And I cannot imagine Ukraine's well being with a powerful (but has been very reasonable so far) enemy just next to their border. Would EU works without Russia I dont know. If that is what EU wants by all means go ahead and play the game.
