This is what separates our constitution from the rest of the world. We are living through what could be considered the third great crises for the USA. First one being the revolution breaking away from Great Briton. The second being the civil war. The third great crisis, which continues today, is the challenge of Progressivism, a movement founded by Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt, and others. The Progressives rejected the Founders’ principles, including their notions of a fixed human nature and inalienable natural rights. Instead, they believed in a human nature that evolved and changed, which in turn justified their efforts to break down separation of powers in order to expand the size and scope of government far beyond the Founders’ intent. The progressives are on the left and have completely taken over the Democratic party and much of the Republican party. Another name for those on the left would be collectivists, communists. They believe our rights come from the state (the government). But what the state gives you the state can take away. Trump is fighting back towards giving the power back to the people where its supposed to be. Basically conserving our rights given to us by natures God. No man can take away our basic rights. The progressives (collectivists ,communists) are moving us towards world wide totalitarian rule. In order to reverse what has been taking place since the progressive movement took hold would take someone like Trump. This is what this nation needed at this point and time. Thank God for Trump. After George W. Bush pulled out of the disastrous Kyoto treaty, U.S. emissions went down faster than those in much of Europe. The same will be true for Trump's departure from the Paris accord. Combined with his approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, and opening of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to exploration, Trump is helping usher in a new age of American energy development. He got NATO allies to kick in $12 billion more toward our collective security. Decades of pleading by the Bush and Obama administrations failed to get NATO allies to meet their financial commitments to the alliance, but Trump’s tough talk and reluctance to affirm America's Article V commitment did the trick. NATO is stronger as a result. He has virtually eliminated Islamic State's physical caliphate. He was inaugurated as president. Ending the corrupt, dishonest Clinton political machine. Trump has taken a clear, strong stand against the narco-dictatorship in Venezuela. Mexico is next He renamed the “Asia-Pacific” the “Indo-Pacific” to include India in the larger task of preventing Chinese hegemony in Asia. Not to mention the historical meeting he had with Kim of North Korea. Trump has made clear that he is willing to use force to stop North Korea from deploying nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of destroying U.S. cities — which has prompted China to finally put real pressure on Pyongyang. Basically cooled off the threat of nuclear war which was feared by many and no other president had been able to get Kim to the table. They dismantled one of their nuke facilities, agreed to stop testing, and they released all American prisoners WITHOUT paying them billions in ransom like Obama gave to Iran. I know there is more. He has done more for this country in his first year then most past presidents did in 4 or 8 years.
