The National average for gun deaths is about 13.33 per capita as of 2021. The strictest gun laws are in States like California, 7.4 New Jersey, 4.7 Connecticut, 4.9 New York, 4.0 Or course they are all much lower then National average, Red States with limited gun Laws are at the top Mississippi 22.8 Wyoming 21.0 Idaho 16.6 Missouri 21.3 Kentucky 16.8 Of the 22 States with an C grading on strictness for gun controls only 2 have a higher then National Average for gun deaths. Chicago, the strictest gun control laws and the highest homicides, LA (not California, NYC (not NY). Another thing you left out, you mentioned "gun deaths" as if they were homicides, but the highest incidents of gun deaths come from suicides, almost 75%. More people die from knives (4 times more deaths), DUIs, baseball bats, cancer, heart attacks. Guns are at the bottom of the list. I wonder what your motive is here. Do you want to ban guns because of the suicides? They will find another way to take their lives.
