Estimates on personal defense with firearms range from 500,000 to 2,000,000 annially in the US. Even the lowest estimate exceeds the total number of crimes committed with a gun in the US. See? The mainstream media doesn't report that. They only report on incidents that fit their narrative. Wild__: I have no idea where you're getting you information but I can see just from driving around town that the number one reason for people being homeless is drug addiction. If San Francisco the sidewalks are littered with human feces and dirty needles to the extent that pedestrians walk in the street. Wild__: You know what happens if you don't pay your medical bills? The bill goes to collection. Your credit score goes down. After 7 years its gone from your credit report. That's it, that is all. Wild__: Drug addiction is the main cause of homelessness. If you're an addict you can't hold down a job. One can keep a job and rent an apartment with a medical demerit on your credit report. briansmythe: Yeah it sux then your got Celebrity culture Encouraging everyone especially young people buy things you can't afford. Glamerize drugs in music . I donno its just a visious cycle. Then end up with B greade Celebrities as president lol  Metaverseguy: Also, the gov't is so large it's very scary going after people like the Gestapo and SS went after Jews in WW2, or how all this hype was brought against Communists in many separate areas throughout American history, plus many countries labelled enemies as anyone with a certain ideology and would arrest them or they'd get beaten in crowd control. Most of the time the labels were very childish, and it was really hard to even tell if they fit into this certain outcast group, or just didn't agree with the status quo at the time. A lot of times, unfortunately, public figures will bring about this type of hysteria to try and deter real problems, like how the rich control 95% of the wealth, or food and gas shortages. They use these scapegoats to try and temporarily fix things by causing these riots and mob-outbursts against a common enemy. Obviously, many poor leaders have used these tactics in the past, and many more will probably use them in the future. What I don't get is that someone will make all these speeches against groups, typically racist or sexist and hateful comments, and then in a rally later these same people will be attacked, even sometimes murdered, and the person or persons responsible for the riots will never admit to influencing anyone. They will say they aren't at fault, never made the comments in the first place (which there are video and audio recordings proving otherwise), and then they condemn the people who do the exact things they outlined in their speeches. ??? briansmythe: But the second amendment was Written cos these for Fathers. Right? Considering how technology has advanced and the weaponry of the US government/military is much more sophisticated. Shouldn't you be advocating citizens have the right to own missiles and tanks in order to compete appropriately? Also, hasn't the silencing of media already started in the US without guns but with speech by the current President. Are you in the process of defending journalism by weapon in this scenario?
