Raffensperger is focusing on several groups. Among them is The New Georgia Project founded by none other than failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and run by Raphael Warnock, who is the Democrat candidate for Senate running in the January election. Seems like Democrats are trying to cheat to steal the Senate election. Secretary Raffensperger said in a statement, “The security of Georgia’s elections is of the utmost importance. We have received specific evidence that these groups have solicited voter registrations from ineligible individuals who have passed away or live out of state. I will investigate these claims thoroughly and take action against anyone attempting to undermine our elections.” The New Georgia Project was accused in 2014 of hiring contractors who forged applications in 2014. The group was cited for falsifying signatures on 53 voter applications, but the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported the investigation found “no wrongdoing.” Not only is Abrams’ group under investigation but the much larger operation, America Votes is under renewed scrutiny. That group conducts voter “mobilization and education” in 20 states. Raffensperger has charged America’s Voice with sending at least two absentee ballot applications to an old address of a Georgia voter.
