Abortion And how pat robertson became a cuck

theHating
theHating: alabama has a taste for the dark ages and now contends to send doctors to prison for up to 99 years for performing an abortion operation, no exceptions on term limits, causing pat robertson to stand up so fast that his butt plug came out for the first time in 60 years, to exclaim "now you have gone too far!"

Pat Robertson/Quotes
Feminism encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.

And it's one thing to give people freedom and something else to deny the rights of Christians to assert their faith in order to keep Hindus from feeling upset.

Is there in all the history of human folly a greater fool than a clergymen in politics?
There are times in history where a particular doctrine becomes a symbol of a greater problem.

Having an abortion is not a right....abortions were made legal to stop back street abortions not because it's a right.

edmund_carey: I don't think I believe that Pat Robertson ever said "now you have gone too far" in response to Alabama's abortion law. Or was that just a figure of speech?

Anyway, Alabama's abortion law, leaving aside the fact that it makes perfect sense to anyone with an ounce of fellow feeling in them, is obviously untenable, and cannot last. The time for such sensitivity, respect, and responsibility regarding the transmission of life, is simply gone, at least for now.

On the other hand, if the foot stamping "I get to kill my children" crowd challenge the Alabama law in court, the State is very likely to take it to the Supreme Court, which happens to have a conservative majority on it. The cherished "Yes you can skewer your children like carps on a wire" law - or, wait a minute, that's not what it's called - what was it again? - oh yeah, Roe vs. Wade - might just get overturned.

So, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. But I'm sure a way can be found to make selfish barbarism prevail. It's been done before.

theHating: strawman, lori. i guess it's better to be like men in the respect that you have the same rights as they do. and relating to abortion, reproductive rights for women should be represented in a representative republic, right? so what qualifies a government of old white men to represent women? furthermore, the idea that women are being given the okay to legally murder their children ignores the scientific distiguishments between a child and a "viable fetus". the viability of a fetus is determined by the ability of the fetus in its stage of development to sustain itself outside of the womb. since the days of roe v wade, science has made it possible to keep a fetus alive outside the womb in earlier and earlier stages of development. that is what is meant by viability of the fetus. as for stages of development, i have a simple question about morality that pro-lifers have a hard time answering.

in this hypothetical, you are inside of a burning building and in your haste to escape, you run past a table of jars labelled "viable human embryos" and then suddenly hear the blood curdling terrified screaming of a toddler. you see no one around and realize you need to make a decision; hoist this table of hundreds of human zygotes to safety, or rescue the four year old whose fear has rendered him physiologically paralyzed beneath a collapsing ceiling?

theHating: seriously lori? strawman again.
i asked what qualifies a panel of men to decide on women's reproductive rights.
and regarding my comments on having the same rights as men, that is the philosophy of feminism. regarding steinem, a cursory google search, i would love to see you somehow prove the cia tasked her specifically with that, also the CIA are not really in the business of philosophy, so its kind of a big leap in logic to say "cia funded hatred towards women, thus feminism is hatred towards women"

theHating: i could ask that question a bit differently and it would still be the same argument; regarding women's reproductive rights, why is it acceptable that only men should decide on its technicalities?
