Should we separate Fiscal and Social issues? Wonderful Wally: I believe it would make more sense if we separated these into two different sections and vote for candidates based on that alone. Generally we vote one candidate we believe is going to fix most of the issues we value as important but fiscal and Social issues are two entirely different issues. We can say Fiscally we need "Jobs/retirement/school funding" while socially we need to "Stop bullying/Gay rights/Minority rights". Now some might say things like "I am fiscally Republican and Socially Liberal". Now this makes sense because we are different issues. Now if we split the system into "I am voting for this person to deal with social rights and this person will deal with Fiscal issues" we would not have as many problems. These are not two mutually exclusive issues. We might need rights for Gay marriage/Minority rights/Stop Bullying but it doesn't mean that joblessness, homelessness and school funding is not an important issue either that we should IGNORE. This also would mean that more people are being heard. One department is dealing with Fiscal issues and running while the other is making sure Social issues and policy's are being adequately dealt with. I also think things would function better if we had an accountant being put in place to budget for all of these things.  lupedediablo: Beware however that facism can also creep in from the left...
