oh_good_laughs: It is probable there was a man named Jesus of Nazareth (or Galilee). It is probable he was a wonder-worker who obtained large crowds of people wherever he went. It is also probable that Jesus was crucified under the authority of Pontius Pilate, the Roman overseer.

But faith is applied at the resurrection of Christ. This cannot be forced upon anyone, one may receive it or reject it, it is an act of ones will.

WillowManChe: very good risen, but long story short,
people can choose to accept or not,
but the bible does say the truth about
everything,as far as the sins that people did
during that time which is carried to now
for the ones that accept (GOD) could have second life
but have to deal with judgement day, ones that don't...well
u know..

Amanda: Guys, I respect your view and your propaganda, but please try to be a little less patronising towards other's beliefs and refrain from the "I know it all and they don't" attitude, which only make you seem fanatic in the eyes of people that don't share your faith (just a friendly advice).

Transformed
Transformed: Hi Amanda,

If I have been patronizing in anyway I do apologize but my heart is not to mock but to express the very love of Christ to all. Which means speaking the Truth in love also.

I know it is cheap for me to say that through a forum where my life cannot be seen and studied to see if it matches what I speak. But never the less I am compelled by the love of Christ to reach out in what ever means possible in the hope that some will be saved and know the very love that I have come to know in Jesus Christ.

Remember the best thing that ever happened to you? Didn't you want to shout it from the roof tops? In the same way I have met with Jesus Christ and He is more than just a belief system to me but He has become my whole life. I am ecstatic to say I know Him and that He knows me.

I have truly been TRANSFORMED by His Grace at work in my life. The biggest transformation that has taken place is that I used to feel so empty and full of rage. But I am moved to say I no longer am.

I have NEVER felt so FULL in all my life. Now this is something worth talking about!

Amanda: To Transformed

Great! I'm happy for you!

Just try to understand that for people that don't share this excitement, it may seem a little on the "madman" side of life. And who would like to be told the rights and wrongs by someone that seems to be so engulfed by his own religious euphoria that he is oblivious to everything else?

By all means, stay on your rooftop; just remember to turn down the volume so that you don't disturb the neighbours' sleep unnecessarily! LOL

Mylder
Mylder: Mastyg, there certainly are many similarities between the Sumerian and the Hebrew tradition, particularly for the Creation and the Flood myths. Since the Sumerians are older, it shouldn't be a great mystery to figure out which influenced which. The Hebrew stories are actually "double Mesopotamian" in origin, since they first traveled to Canaan with Abraham and other patriarchs that migrated west, then became revived during the Babylonian Exile, before the written tradition started to take over from the oral. In about 450 BC, the first complete version of the Old Testament (minus the Book of Daniel, which wasn't completed until 300 years later) was published by the High priest in Jerusalem.

Q was an old sayings gospel, named after Quelle, the German word for "source". We don't know who wrote it, but it was probably first conceived in the same Hebrew tradition that also produced other non-biblical manuscripts, like the Gospels of Thomas and Philip. Both Luke and Matthew decided to include most of Q in their own gospels, along with significant parts of Mark's Gospel. They expanded the sayings and inserted narratives in between them, to let their gospels have the form we still find today. For further references about Q, please consult the many excellent books by scholars such as Burton Mack and John Kloppenborg.

redneck: I agree with you, Hitsugaya; religious arrogance is good for nothing except provoking conflicts among hotheaded adherents.

While Jesus and Muhammad were humble people and great examples, many of their modern followers seem to have become so blinded by doctrines and religious tradition that they have forgotten their masters' message. My advice is to go back and study the roots; and stop paying attention to being right at any cost all the time.

hitsugaya252: Every religion has their own good and bad aspects. So, in christians, i like aspects of musical system and some of the lines of their holy book which is believed as god's words. At the same time i dislike the idea of not showing responsibility towards their parents after death.
In buddist, their 2nd son should become priest in gumba. In muslim, not doing family planning , praying early morning in mike disturbing other peoples and also killing animals teasingly. Hindusm is in the state of luminous.
WE have to make our own idols n follow them ourselves. Comming to this era, we shouldn't debate on which religion is best.
