Crocodilia: Yes, the Internet has done a lot to de-mystify issues that formerly used to belong to the religious domain. Particularly in less developed countries, we have experienced a tremendous enlightenment among people that were formerly dominated by religions and now can read alternative explanations for themselves, at least as far as their English skills allow them.

cyber4EVA: Yes, 2012 is definitely not the year of new prophets and founders of religion. Such thoughts make way for an interesting question, though. Byakuya: back then people needed to follow someone to have stability in there lives thats why if there was to become a new religion now it would have to be very good to persuade people to follow it

Lucifera: Isn't that precisely what the ancients did?

Monday = the day of the moon god
Tuesday = the day of Tyr
Wednesday = the day of Odin
Thursday = the day of Thor
Friday = the day of Frey
Saturday = the day of Saturn
Sunday = the day of the sun god
