People were mostly illiterate in the time of Muhammad, so memorizing was the preferred method. Reading through the Hadiths, I found that some of his followers could read and write however, using whatever they found laying around to write on during Muhammad's speeches. Finding "scientific miracles" in the Qur'an is a rather recent phenomenon. Every claim I've heard so far has yet to show any merit, as they've all been debunked. Everybody should try to go there once in a lifetime, to experience this extraordinary phenomenon. I see no insults being thrown around here, just innocent fun that should be perceived as such. You know, the time when Muslims can only eat and drink when the sun is down. I also let him know that his body can survive for 3 to 5 days without water, giving him 3 to 5 days to admit to himself and everyone else that there's something blatantly wrong with the Muslim faith, or die trying. PINKlife: So the Muslims in Svalbard and other northern places are like inverted migratory birds, then? Staying there during the winter and leaving as soon as the sun shows up? This would possibly mean that Islam cannot function properly everywhere and at all times.
