At the same time, each of them claims that it is the only one that can do this and that all other religions are false directions that will lead you astray. Zanjan: Actually, I don't know of anyone who pulls up their socks and behaves after being threatened with hell. Lordy, if it were that easy, nobody would have a difficult teenager! What's more, penitentiaries wouldn't need to exist. The fear of God is the fear of justice. The only people who fear God's displeasure are those who love Him. Those who've been close to God would never want to be far away from Him - you see, once you've tasted that sweetness, you never want to go back to buttermilk.
