Aura

XFixYourBrainX
XFixYourBrainX: An Aura is believed to be an energy field radiated by the body. Invisible to most people, it can be detected by some as a shimmering, multi-colored field surrounding the body. Those skilled in detecting and interpreting auras can diagnose an individual's state of mind, and their spiritual and physical health.

Arcas: Everyone who believes this needs to look up what "energy" actually is. They toss this term around so randomly because they've seen it in fantasy and sci-fi. Define what this type of "energy" is, and then we can have a real debate.

XFixYourBrainX: Dictionary.com dictionary aura is a radiance coming from the body.

Wikipedia.com -————> In parapsychology and many forms of spiritual practice, an aura is a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person or object.

The saying goes, "you have such a wonderful glow about you girl" in relevance of beauty.

In movies angels are depicted to have a bright aura surrounding them making them so bright you can't see them.

Skeptics such as Robert Todd Carroll contend that auras may be seen for reasons such as migraines, synesthesia, epilepsy, a disorder within the visual system, a disorder within the brain, or due to the influence of psychedelic drugs such as LSD. Eye fatigue can also produce an aura, sometimes referred to as eye burn.

I'm concerned with what is an aura and I would like to understand how an aura is put forth.

Jazz1618: yup i accept the term energy being thrown up so randomly. But our body by itself is a magnet.(undeniably) every person has around him/herself their mag field(can be referred as energy field) for about a feet from skin surface. aura ppl "claim" or can see this feild with some perception powers.
And abt deseases, Homeopathy and accupuncture go with the theory that energy flows into all systems, organs and components of the body and the irregularity in that causes less flow in some parts/organs making it susceptible for damage when attacked foreign particles.
I personally have experienced this when a person, she always found out what was wrong in my health and what wud be in near fututre.trust me guys. der r ppl who do this stuff. esp in china and india.

XFixYourBrainX: Bright lights tend to have auras around them when eyes are in that state to see aura.

In history people thought that certain objects or people had a significant glow or brightness to them so bright the object or person couldn't be seen. Anyone know of what I'm talking about?

Rothh: Every living thing has an aura. It is a field of energy surrounding it, and can be seen by anybody who cares to look. The term energy is used for a life force or a glow that all living things emanate. To see it..... have a person stand against a wall preferably a light coloured wall and stare at them allowing your eyes to shift focus. (similar to when you stare into those dotted pictures that have images hidden within them). You will see a glow around them usually seen as clear or white. Those who can read an aura will see it in colour (or sense the colour) and will interpret the colour and where they see it. For example a dark shadow (grey or black)usually means that an ailment is present or is presenting where a blue shade usually means presently healing. Try it you may be amazed at what you see.

Aryaa: What I have understood is as follow:
Every thing (living/nonliving) constitute of matter, and the vibrations in it causes electromagnetic and/or electrophotonic radiations which is known as Aura.

So both, living or non-living thing has an aura. A lifeless object has an aura which is same(or it does not change). Aura of living things keep changing depending on the state of mind or mental propensity. Why mental propensity?..because feelings/emotions are causes of excitation or vibrations in matter which bring about changes in Aura.

Aura is mainly identified by color...like black, blue, grey, red, yellow and white. Aura is combination of these colors. Depending upon the feelings which are predominant in an individual, the colors in aura are reflected and one can get the idea of mental well-being of that person. The light and brighter colors reflect that an individual is having healthy/good mental state and dark colors the opposite. A person who regularly meditates changes his aura towards the lighter, brighter colors.

About healing through Aura, it is believed that symptoms of disease are first observed in mental plane and then they manifest in physical body. How they heal...I don't know...but I will tell you one of my observations. In India, they[healers and at places of worship] have this fan like thing made of peacock feathers[many peacock feathers tied together]. They will use this around the body of a person, as if cleaning the air surrounding it. When I asked..why they use it...I was told that it helps clean the aura. How peacock feathers are useful...is something I have never given a thought.
