The End times...
WillowManChe: well what do we know about the end times..
for one we know there is food shortages-yup (matthew24:7)
there will be great earthquakes-yup (luke 21:11)
there will be pestilences- yup (21:21)
some others nation against nation...that just about what happens in theses last dayz
CoIin: Not entirely true. We often see this:-
1. An event E happens in year Y
2. In year Y+500 some dude writes a manuscript (perhaps yellowing the pages and chewing the corners a bit) about a pre-Y Biblical figure; let's call him Moah. In this manuscript, our prescient protagonist Moah predicts event E with great accuracy. Success rate: 100%
We also often see:-
1. An event E happens (let's say a temple is destroyed)
2. Some dude goes searching ancient manuscripts to find a relevant prophesy of event E. He discovers irrefutable proof in a certain passage, e.g. "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall". Success rate : 100%
Then there's the troublesome third category of the modern era:-
1. Some dude decides that a "prophesy" in the Bible predicts imminent events (let's say the end of the world). He calculates the date of these events and nutters everywhere sell their property and await with bated breath. Success rate : 0
Finally, it behooves us to remember that even a broken clock is right twice a day.

WillowManChe: since when did i say anything about me going to heaven, all im doing is stateing some facts
that are true from the word of GOD and what jesus told his disciples about the end times and up top is a few.
pompompuddin: II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
IF you have read the Holy Bible as I have then you know we are in the end times right now. Wars, earthquakes in places that never had them before. Not even do the angels in heavens know when the end will be. All in God's timing!
CoIin: Every generation since the time of Jesus have thought they were living in the end times. Yet the world keeps spinning. I'm not selling my Rolls Royces just yet.
Unless you're privy to some info that they weren't. C'mon now, own up....
pompompuddin: Colinian..lol It really doesn't matter if you have the Rolls or have the money for the Rolls. When the time comes you can't take either with you anyway. You go out of this life as you came in...with nothing! I am not privy to anything that anyone else can't be... just by reading the book of Revelations.
CoIin: Yeah, that's what Job said too, didn't he. I'll miss these Rolls' though LOL.
Just a small thing - why does everyone get the name of the book of Revelation wrong? No "s".
CoIin: and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." - Job 1:21
pompompuddin: I can only speak of my beliefs and my interpretation on what the Holy Bible tells me what must all come about before the rapture will occur. I am not able to state the day nor the time, because the Bible says that not even do the angels in heaven know when it will happen. I do know, however, I will be ready for when that time comes. I will stand firm in my relationship with my Lord, because for me it is not "religion" I have.... Instead, it is a personal relationship between Him and me. Yes, I will be taken up during the rapture and someday I will be sitting at the foot of Christ still singing His praises. Now that is MY faith (belief) and my assurance of what will happen with me when I leave this world behind for a much better place. I'm not going to try to convince others to believe as I do. BUT imagine these 2 options: you either accept Christ into your heart and be forgiven of your sins, hence make it into a glorious life in heaven....or you rebuke what He has to offer and spend eternity in a real burning Hell for unbelievers. Do you want to take that chance? Eternity is a LONGGGGGG time my friends! Blessings Jenny
WillowManChe: thats the message to the devil to rapture away and he also says u dont have to read revelations,
so when jesus comes down thats when we turn into spiritual bodys, so the devil coming first (666),
Jesus comes last (777)
satangel: Most early Christian "predictions" were directed at "the present generation", that is within the next 40 years.
Thus, trying to look for their "fulfillment" thousands of years later is not only futile, but also completely against the intentions of those that launced them, something many Christians seemingly fail to understand or are willing to recognise in their desperate grasp at straws to support their faith on what they frequently like to call "evidence".
skully: If I should go around and constantly think that some god should return or that the world would come to an end as we know it today because of his decision, it would have driven me skull-less. LOL
It's probably more likely that our planet will be hit by an asteroid than that humankind will be judged and separated by a returning deity. And seriously, who in their right mind would worry enough to lose a good night's sleep over such a cosmic collision scenario?
WITNESS REV 11_ 3: i have come to prepare the way before the lord.....many call me prophet of the most high....i am
...lets make a video and use it for the christians ..my story is true
Zanjan: Pompom: "what must all come about before the rapture will occur."
Well, I never needed to interpret scriptures - they state things flat out. If it wasnt meant to be understood, it wouldn't have been said or written. Since we live in the Bible's future, we have only to look around us to see these things.
Just so you know, I've experienced the Rapture. It doesn't entail acquiring a see-through body or departing this physical life (everyone dies sooner or later). Of course, that wont be any proof to you until you experience it yourself, right?
I was watching a documentary on the discovery of Jesus's Tomb. Some clergy were interviewed and they got all upset, saying if they've indeed found the bones of Jesus, Christianity would crumble because it's whole premise is based on the fact that Jesus was resurrected. Basically, they were saying everything holds on a single interpretation.
Seriously? You'd not be able to recognize Jesus for Who He was??? Whoa, if so, then Christianity deserves to crumble. Consider that the Christian clergy has a vested interest in keeping people ignorant/misguided - their professional jobs would disappear as members wandered off to the New Christ. The way to preserve their jobs is to twist the scriptures' meaning to work out so members will be waiting forever for the return of Christ.
That said, one can see how that backfired - members, being disappointed prophecies didn't happen according to the clergy's interpretation, left the church and became atheists..........which is kinda amusing, from my point of view.
SisterFire777: watch Israel, especially the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. There the most prophecies will be fulfilled. They have everything to rebuild the third temple, have tried numerous times to lay the cornerstone.
DA_NAME'S_DOING: "And Jesus said unto his disciples, "Whom do men say that I am?"And His disciples answered unto Him, "Master, thou art the supreme eschatological manifestation of omnipotent ecclesiastical authority, the absolute, divine, sacerdotal monarch."And Jesus said, "What?"
By the way, there is no prophecy that Jews will build a third temple. There's Jesus' prophecy about rebuilding it in 3 days........this is God time, not earth time. Jesus isn't speaking in His own voice there - it's God talking. God rebuilds the temple. Count Christianity as 1 day.
So, religion doesn't re-build - that never happens because it would be pointless. Building a new religion, yeah, that always happens...and that, in turn, sees the building of a new temple. Proof is in the pudding.
Yes, one should watch Israel, the Holy Land. Better still.......go visit, it will do ya good.
deuce916: Zanjan, you're a naughty girl when you talk like that. I dare you to stop it now. Just stop it right now. You don't want to see more people upset do you?
