I'm not forcing my opinion, I simply stated it. You said we are animal and I said go ahead. We're all human.
Do whatever ya like, I agree with you that we are basically animals, and people can behave like amimals if they want to. You can't help it. We agree on that much, and I'm happy to leave it at that.
I also agree that a society draws the line at a point. You and I draw lines at different points. I guess I am conservative or old fashioned.
I think I might be becoming an old man.
You kids get offa my lawn!
.... sorry ... I'll get off yours...

shadowline: "lmao and morality isn't something to be forced on others. It's a personal issue. If someone chooses to be gay, their morals are frankly different than yours - and it is no more your place to force your morals on them than it is for people to force their moralities on you."

I don't believe I said anything about forcing anything on anybody. I was simply explaining the thinking of believers in religion who disapprove of homosexuality. And since you insist that morality is entirely personal and mutable, you are in no position to declare their morality any less legitimate than anybody else's.

"And before you say it, no, embezzlement, murder, rape, ect are not an issue of morality. It's an issue of protecting peoples rights - namely the victims or potential victims. People don't go to jail for embezzlement because they broke a moral code- they go to jail because they stole, defying another human beings rights."

You don't really mean to say that embezzlement, murder, and rape, are NOT immoral, do you? That would certainly make your idea of morality very personal indeed.

That people go to jail for such things is a legal issue. I wasn't talking about legal issues. A thing can be immoral whether the law disapproves or not.
