There's one Orthodox Jewish sect that keeps running from the law in my country. They worship their leader, who spent a couple years in prison for kidnapping and lying in court. They bow and kiss his hand, serve his every need.

This sect illegally performs marriages of young females under age 15 to older males, and lying about their ages on records. They prevent their children from learning academics other children must be taught in school, which is mandated by the government.

Authorities tried to apprehend the children but the sect ran to another province; again same thing. Then the sect tried to evade the law by skipping the country. However, an APB was out and the country they landed in barred them from entry. They sent them back to face the police. Weird thing is, they never tried to go to Israel. I don't think it's enough to say you're a Jew.

They are placed temporarily, until the government establishes the children wont be abused, and that all basic needs are met. Home schooling is allowed but if children are not passing government standards of education, parents are charged with neglect. That's what the Lev Tahor is running from.

International agencies are for adoption only, and those are private agencies, not government agencies.

I saw an official TV investigative news report feature on Lev Tahor, and their leader being interviewed. At that time, he said he couldn't go back to Israel because they didn't want him there - he'd be persecuted. Somehow, he's getting funding from the Jewish community in Montreal - he's costing them a bundle.
