I'm an Agnostic Deist. (Page 3) Lautlos: I think either way is possible. You're going to have to deal with my refusal to see this as a black-and-white matter. Lautlos: Because we have zero proof leading one way or another - and considering that science deals with the tangible, while God (as most cultures define Him) is specifically intangible, we'll never have proof. RadIntentions: Vox, maybe there's like a Schrodingers God, and until we find out, God lies in a state of both existing and not. Lautlos: Hah, I was thinking of Schroedinger as well when the question of duality came up. Tangible evidence would be nice, Deuce. Something concrete and objective...which we'll probably never get, and that's ok. We just need to keep searching for answers. deuce916: So you can't tell me of any proof you have that there is a god. So why do you believe there is one? Lautlos: Cannot understand, I'm fine with. Refusal to even try...not so much. I've tried multiple times to explain myself to you. You keep circling back to the same point I've already addressed. Please come up with something new. RadIntentions: Okay deuce, check this out. Right now there is a guy walking into the piano bar in my city. Is he tall or short? RadIntentions: Right, I don't know, because there's no evidence. So, I'm not going to give you an answer that indicates that there is. Lautlos: No one knows. You can guess, but saying "I think it's possible that he's short" isn't the same as saying "I think he's short." In the first statement you're leaving the possibility that he's tall or of average height open for speculation. | Religion Chat Room 27 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
