Zanjan: " What drinks in heaven ?"

A local pastor told one of my clients that there's a river in heaven that runs under the throne of Jesus - they drink from that, out of cups, of course. One should always use appropriate etiquette.

ghostgeek: Did that pastor say whether it was a river of bourbon whiskey?

Zanjan: Of course not. I think the implication was wine but my client thought it was water. Personally, I took it as being polluted after the clergy swam in it. Why else would the throne be above it? Perhaps a Freudian slip?

Sometimes the truth is nasty.

chronology: Reminds me of the sermon given by the Old Crow in Animal Farm' 'up there comrades in the clouds is 'Sugar Candy Mountain' . The Old Crow said Candy Floss grew on trees and sugar sherbet flowers grew in the fields.

ghostgeek: Who really wants to know the truth when dreams are so much nicer?

Zanjan: I think the message is that dreams are fattening and bad for your teeth.

friendlyguy9: how about the sins we made? can anyone explain that sin. what is that all about?

Zanjan: Your sin is none of my business.

We can ask God for forgiveness for ourselves but that won't occur unless we try to rectify what we did wrong. (It's not the same thing as an apology). How else will we convince God of our sincerity?
