Billie Ingle: Because God isn' real or he hates me, he took grandma, grandpa my sister and one of my nieces is heavy physical handicapped so a very nice guy

Live_By_Common_Sense: I do understand the losses you have. My grandpa died before I was born. My grandma died in my teenage years. My aunt and uncle died on my moms side from some disease. I ask the same question like most people do in this situation. If God is real, why are these death happening around me, through my family, and to acquaintance and friends. Why do tragedy exist, if God is all loving and caring? So from what I am getting at is, that the death of your close ones had his or hers time finished. Than they are put in front of the Judge and see what their deeds were and what they done wrong. So if I am correct, we were put on this earth to be tested and judged. Your family members that died were put off somewhere down the line of what they deserved, or what they are good for. Do not read in to this, and say this is the truth, or this is total bogus. From what I read and research through many forums, this is what I read and analyzed. If you feel down and out about your lost loved ones, just see it that they could be around you spiritually.

Zanjan: Every body dies - doesn't matter if one believes in God or not. This is a fact of life for all created beings, as natural as breathing. Atheists and animals grieve losses too but they usually get over it in time because they intuit that life must go on.

We don't believe in God to make ourselves feel better about death but to feel better about life. Loss is part of life, not death.

Our lives are so much bigger, complex and more meaningful than that of the animals. Our purpose is higher so, if we were to live just for ourselves as the animals do, we can't ever be happy. Instinctively, we feel that the mere acquisition of basic physical needs would be settling for less. Thus, even if those needs are met, we'd still complain.

Like all living creatures, we're happiest when we feel safe and healthy......not when we feel attached to anything material.......such attachment brings fear of loss. Acceptance of the spiritual realities and love for those beauties helps humans to let go of worldly attachments - we learn they're not as important as that which never dies.

Live_By_Common_Sense: True Zanjan, there are people that tend to feel better about life, having the hope that there is life after death. I do not know where we go when we die, but if we just die and cease to exist, than that would be truly depressing. It gives a better hope knowing we might be reincarnated, or better yet have a chance to enter the pearly gates. So only through emotional state of mind people will panic when they face death, not knowingly where they will go.

I want to know if Angels and demons ever had war other than the war between lucifers fallen angels and the angels when he first got banned. Did the Angels from heaven fought battles outside of heaven to some other location, or did they kept cease fire after the first battle?

Live_By_Common_Sense: Billie Ingle, I don't know what God has plan for your niece. But everyday there are miracles happening, and there is ungodly things happening as well. Just take in to account that you and your family is strong enough to take care of one another, especially to your niece. You may have blessings and someday with a miracle God can give your niece a blessing of healing. Just be strong and have your head held up high, because who else can you ask for help?

How on earth could you imagine it's all about justice?? If it were, it wouldn't have anything to do with your neice.

I don't deserve the bills I have to pay, the aches and pains I live with every day, or the disrespect others have shown me, even after I clean up their messes. Yet I push on with dignity because this is MY world and my eternity, not theirs.

Your niece deserved someone who could lovingly take care of her; she was created to be the boon for someone who needs to feel needed. Have they been matched up yet? Were you up to the task? If not, the glory will justifiably go to another servant.

Zanjan: Secret, you were speaking of spiritual battles fought long ago by a different people so, it doesn't matter how you read it, that has nothing to do with you. Moderns don't need angels and demons to get the point across.

The overarching Biblical theme is the battle of good against evil in this world - that is, on this earthly plane of existence. The Bible portrays it in terms the people could understand - that is, as the armies of light against the armies of darkness because that old world order was very nature based and territorial.

For what it's worth, evil always loses, regardless of the kind of clash it is. Evil doesn't move into the next world because it's devoid of substance. Only that which is good in the soul continues to exist.

Live_By_Common_Sense: Well how did satan talk to God in heaven to test Job. If evil can't get to a different world, than how are demons are alive that is tempting humans to sell their souls. The demons are wise and powerful enough to brainwash the mass and corrupt the society. So if they have the power to control, they must have similar powers just as the angels in heaven above. Can you explain?

Zanjan: Children test people because they wouldn't know the stuff they're made of if they didn't. Since they're under-developed, they can't recognize good character on its own. They can't make the intellectual connection of spiritual principles with virtues yet.

God doesn't have to test anybody because He knows them inside out. All God did was let the children push as many buttons as they liked.

This is more of a guy thing, like scenting one's territory -> poke, poke, poke to see at what point the other will lose patience and either break down or strike back. The antagonist needs to know exactly how much they can safely get away with.

This is schoolyard playground stuff.

I can only say that the idea of demons being powerful and in control is a bunch of hogwash, used both to scare children into towing the line or as an excuse to avoid owning up to responsibility. The demons are a product of one's guilty conscience and the angels are traits of one's better nature.

Live_By_Common_Sense: "Evil doesn't move into the next world because it's devoid of substance." I am referring to this quote. If satan can go to heaven to meet with God and explain to him about Job. Which it was in the bible. Than basically someone evil like him can go to heaven and earth and back to hell. If I stand correct.

Zanjan: No, Satan doesn't go to heaven....and the text doesn't say that he did. Heaven is a spiritual state of purity and beauty.

In scriptural language, the word "heaven" is also applied to a religious dispensation; that "satan came along with the sons of God" might imply the creeping into religion of corruption and doubt, which peaks during the end times of every dispensation.

The OT Bible is NOT addressing the modern mind but the mentality of a willful child. Thus, it's limited knowledge, geared to the world of ancient culture and its traditions. It uses metaphors because the mind of the child can't quite grasp spiritual realities yet.....they needed to be led with symbols and songs - something they could easily remember.

Satan is the self, which sometimes talks AT God, usually trying to prove God is wrong or daring God to perform some miracle or punishment etc. Lots of people have challenged God at some point in their life. I'm sure He finds it amusing.

I remember a guy who, being raised Catholic, had been an altar boy. His mother had hopes of him becoming a priest. Children are innocent and trusting until they reach puberty. In his teens, he had other ideas because he didn't see any justice. He went to a dance with a couple bottles of whiskey, got into a few scraps then roared down the highway on a motorcycle until he came to the church.

He walked in and said out loud to God - "you know what I've done so if you don't like it, strike me down with a bolt of lightening". Well, God was silent and nothing happened so he walked out and turned his back on God for the rest of his life. For him, God didn't exist.

If one takes the sentences literally and without context, they're going to be way off the mark.

Zanjan: However, if you're still attached to the personification of such things, then just use a bit of logic.

If satan and his minions were reportedly so powerful, it wouldn't be so easy to tell them to go. As Jesus said, just say go and they do. One can simply WILL them away, like oil and water don't mix. If they hang around, it's because the individual doesn't mind having them around.

We were given the gift of Free Will so we could apply it; one should never underestimate the strength of Will Power.

Live_By_Common_Sense: Lol. Just knowing the fact that there is a better place here or after death is what comforts me. If right now is heaven, I just accept the way it is. But knowing the fact my dead relatives being gone forever is a depressing reminder. Other than that, I just want to see everything on a positive side.

Angry Beaver: Beware me!

Zanjan: Every culture has it's own symbols. For example, the snake - in one culture, it means "wickedness and torment"; in another, it's "fertility and rebirth"; in another, it's "medicine and healing; and still another, it's "eternity and gender duality".

Snakes can be found almost everywhere on earth but the Beaver only figures for Canadian Aboriginals. Only they can say what it means to them. How it works - whatever has recently been on one's mind is translated into a form.

Since I don't belong to any traditional culture, if *I* dreamed of a beaver, I'd identify it as "industriousness", like a bee but with a loud slap - probably warning me that I was over-doing it. However, I don't see symbols in my dreams - I see and hear people talking, including myself.

Zanjan: Sometimes, people make too much out of their dreams. Some dreams are just the auto-brain re-organizing the day's intake, sliding data and audio-visual clips around on different shelves, compacting and archiving that which doesn't register.

When you die, the brain suddenly releases all that data to the soul, which has eternity to use it.
