why would God want Job to suffer? (Page 3)
Blackshoes: Zanjan :I'm not sure of your meaning .
Questions Not a condemnation or conclusion
Are you claiming' you have" your own power "
Are you claiming' you are without sin ? Are you claiming 'you walk on water and do not fail ? Are you claiming to raise the dead ? Etc
If one had the faith of a mustard seed ',We'd move mountains ! Noting how many Christian over the last 2000 years have Moved SO Many and Done So many miraculous deems ! "Through and by the Holy Spirit "
Mountains are small potatoes
It's Clear those, that Believed and preached the Gospel 'Have faith In Christ
Zanjan: "Are you claiming' you have" your own power "
My claim is that I've been given the power to rise above human limitations - not power to perform miracles and heal others - I'm not a doctor but I'm a fairly decent diagnostician.
"Are you claiming' you are without sin ?"
I claim that I USED to sin but not anymore. God healed me so I obey the Covenant at all times and under all conditions.
" Are you claiming 'you walk on water and do not fail?"
See above. Failure is not an option for me. This is not physical water - it's spiritual knowledge; mine is conveyed through Baha'u'llah.
"Are you claiming to raise the dead ? "
No, God never told anybody to do that. Only the Manifestations of God have that power - He raised ME from the dead.
"We'd move mountains"
I've done that in my time. At my age, I don't expect to be moving any more of them. I'm out to pasture. Christians and Muslims only had to move mountains - Baha'is have to move the world - that's for the youth. Takes a lot of energy.
(Edited by Zanjan)
chronology: Wait a minute Zan. Am not disrespecting you. But you say you have been to heaven and hell, met God and the Devil, have travelled around the spirit world meeting this and that person. Now you are saying you were 'dead' and brought back to life?
Do you mean 'sort of' dead like many religious people do who claim their Guru brought them to enlightenment.
Or do you mean 'dead on a slab dead' in a morgue.
Am not making fun Zan, but really, you do have a 'spiffing time' now and then.
Zanjan: I'm saying that's the way immortality works. Nobody can kill me. You, too, could have this much fun if you'd just LISTEN to God.
Zanjan: No need to. You see, there is a next world, a hereafter, but nobody would believe it if they didn't see some first hand proof of it on this earthly plane. Once in awhile, God makes that proof available right here.
If He didn't do that, science could just explain it all away.
Blackshoes: It Maybe true that Many live without committing physical acts of sin . However : Any sinful thought ',Cannot be over come until we're with the Lord '.
Some that claim they are without sinful thoughts ', are lying . First to themselves '.
No one is without temptation ! No one is without sin ',
If that was the case . God would refuse them nothing !
Seeing few if any', have recently been raising the dead and giving sight to the Blind'. I believe the evidence is clear too all !
7:11. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
7:12. Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
7:13. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
7:14. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
7:15. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
7:16. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
7:17. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
7:18. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
7:19. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
7:20. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
7:21. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
7:22. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
7:23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
7:24. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
7:25. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Wile speaking to a talk show host
Ruth Graham ( Billy Graham wife )
Had she ever considered Divorce !
She quickly replied never
She then stated ', that she had considered Homicide
Zanjan: That's an old joke. The Brits don't want Billy's son to come to Britain - they don't like his brand of preaching, saying it's not Christian. They've signed a petition (6000 names since last news) to put to the government. Apparently, young Graham has forgotten who the Queen is - just don't mess with the Church of England, eh.
Zanjan: Black: "Some that claim they are without sinful thoughts ', are lying ."
It's not wise to compare others to one's self. Atheists do that. By what means can one determine that another is lying? Lying is a sin - with one sin comes a host of others. Get rid of one sin, another sin comes in to fill the gap. There's no such thing as having only one sin. This is an all or nothing business, like pregnancy.
The one who doesn't commit sin doesn't have sinful thoughts - temptation doesn't touch him.
Blackshoes: That would be you ' Not I , Zanjan
1:6. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1:7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1:8. If we say that we have no sin ;we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1:10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
A pastor once pointed his finger at himself ,and all those in the Congregation
And said the Only difference between those that are in prison and Us and then Stated
They Got Caught !
Cenababy: As humans we fall short everyday. Walking with Jesus means we recognize ourselves and try harder, but it doesn't mean we are sin free. We live here.
