Joktan: The apostle Paul wrote to the Galatian believers about "but there some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ"
Galatians 1:7.Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 

I have been saved a long time through first believing the gospel of Christ.
This is what Paul states in that verse "the gospel of Christ".
Its not the gospel of men, Paul did not receive it from man, he was not taught it from men, but by Christ.

Galatians 1:11  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 
Galatians 1:12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. 

Here is what Christ gave to Paul.

1Co 15:1  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Note: "I declare unto you the gospel"
1Corinthians 15:2  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 
Note: "By which also ye are saved".
Now here is the gospel given to Paul by Christ remember, and this is how YOU can be saved.
1Corinthians 15:3  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 
1Corinthians 15:4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 
When you believe this gospel which is the gospel of Christ given to Paul to give to us.

Ephesians 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 
What are we been saved from?
2Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 
2Thessalonians 1:9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of

If you came across a blind man who was in danger of been killed. would you warn him? You call it "scare tactics". God warns. I preach Christ crucified for our sins. God has to punish sin.
God is also a loving, kind, merciful God. We are the one that need His mercy. I don't pretend to know everything here. I know I was a lost sinner and heading for everlasting punishment.
I made a choice when I heard how to be saved from this. The rest is up to you.

Apokalupto: you quote Isaiah 66:23 in my thread, a chapter that talks about God's fiery judgment, God will plead with All flesh yet the slain of the Lord will be many. you forget that God flooded the world, entire globe, you forget that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone, you forget that God sent Jonah to preach to the gentiles or else God would destroy the people of Nineveh if they did not repent, you forget that God destroyed a generation of Jews in the wilderness because they did not believe Him, you forget that God killed the firstborn of Egypt, you forget that God will use fire and brimstone on the wicked psalm 11:6

looks like God will destroys people,
1. for their wickedness,

2. for not believing him,

3. for not repenting.

an eternal flame that shall never be quenched is reserved for the wicked.

Isaiah 66:24

24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me:

for their worm shall not die,
neither shall their fire be quenched;

and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

God will plead with those who reject him...
