You are absolutely correct about Mutations as regards to Dog Breeders. But the only reason those 'Mutated' Dogs are around is because they are coddled by their owners. There is a proposal here in England that these dogs should be allowed to die out as Breeds. How long would Bulldogs last if they were not treated like Babies by owners?. I would give Bulldogs two generations at the most, unless they could find a secure source of scavenging. Some breeds of domesticated Dogs need Veterinary attention from the moment they are born just to stay alive. Vet's have debated whether it is cruelty to continue breeding these pedigrees.
