The rules on what a werewolf can and cannot do historically have changed numerous times- for example, it wasn't until the 20th century that people claimed a bite from a werewolf would turn you- in Fennoscandia(Scandinavian region), it is believed that werewolves were all old women, who had poisoned claws.... Claiming you got it right while numerous places around the world, for centuries, has it wrong, is pretty damned arrogant. Weretigers(in India), Werejaguars and Werepumas(Both in South America), and Werehyenas(in Africa)- what do all these things have to do with one another? They are predators of a region(wolves for Europe-Asia and North America), who as humanity spread into this animals territory, bumped heads with one another, and people began speaking of these animals living in secret with humanity.
