Find a close-up photo of an actual insect or spider, then imagine it's 8 feet tall, and you're face to face with it. And those are familiar Earth bugs, so try to imagine something even MORE terrifying. Seeing as its atmosphere consisting mainly of carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid, and the surface pressure's over 90 times that of Earth, I doubt any Venusian would find our world hospitable enough to come here. TheismIsUntenable: There are many interpretations of string theory, none of which contain any reference to "non-physical dimensions". String theory should be held with the utmost skepticism as it is entirely theoretical at this point. During the early morning hours, more than one report came in from the security patrols and maintenance crews that they had seen UFOs. A UFO was reported directly above one of the E-Flight (LF) or silos. It turned out that at least one security policeman was so affected by this encounter that he never again returned to missile security duty. ---------------------When Figel spoke with the on-site security guard, he reported that they had not yet performed any maintenance that morning. Captain Don Crawford's crew relieved the Echo Flight crew later that morning. Crawford recalls that both Carlson and Figel were still visibly shaken by what had occurred. Crawford also recalled that the maintenance crews worked on the missiles the entire day and late into the night during his shift to bring them all back on alert. Not only had missiles been lost to our deterrent forces, but had remained out of service for an entire day!  zeffur: It would have been interesting to know exactly what fault/s was/were discovered in the control systems. Space aliens traveled halfway across the galaxy to disable a handful of the thousands of nuclear missiles, and for an entire day even... a day in which they in fact wouldn't have even been needed. Sounds legit. And you know it's a true story, because someone posted it on the internet, and we all know that somebody couldn't just make up a story like that.
